Oh what a trip! I and two friends of a mate picked up a car in Germany and drove across the border to the town where we were playing. We were in the main square having a drink when I started to think why are there no other city fans here. We got a young pole (non English speaking) to take us to the ground which turned out to be a football pitch, where two non English speaking old guys with the aid of our tickets and a map showed us we were about 90km away! I then started to drive like I was in the Polish rally (Polish driving etiquette was very understanding) we got there 15 minutes into the game but suffice to say if City had put half the effort in that we did to get there we would have gone through easily- seem to remember Anelka messing up a one on one!

Yeah me and the Mrs in the Schalke end to begin with but found it easy to get over the wall into the City end at halftime.
Great result, top trip but marred by a lad I know from Heywood falling at the train station and getting a bad head injury.
Spent a long time in hospital over there but they really looked after him
