Morgan Gibbs-White

If he’s indicated a preference for Spurs over City (which was the suggestion when the story broke last week), then history tells us it’s unlikely City will hold any interest in trying to sign him.

Can’t see this one happening as he’s clearly given Spurs the nod already.

I'd like to get Gibbs White but not at the expense of Echeverri who I think could really grow this year with plenty of substitute appearances.
Echeverri wouldn’t get enough game time which he needs. A loan to Girona for a year would be better honestly. If not 2.

Tolmies post says Forest prepared to sell, maybe because they don’t want an unhappy player and they don’t want to sell to spurs. Doesn’t say we are prepared to buy. Not bothered if we do but don’t really see the need anymore.

Bit of a dilemma with both Nunes and Rico falling into the same squad filler category, 'not good enough to be regular RB' and can fill in down the right side/midfield on occasions in lesser games when needed, but neither at the top level to ever hold down a regular spot.

I really can't see Rico being moved on so I would not be at all surprised if Nunes goes. Even though he's got more about him at RB imo.

I’d sooner keep Lewis, he can be useful in midfield if we want to snuff out the opposition when closing a game out.
He rarely loses possession, has a cracking sideways pass.

None of the first bit sounds remotely plausible.

If he has a release clause, what woukd be the point of it being secret? And how would you enforce its secrecy. And once activated, there would be no point wanting more or holding out being pissed off.

Someone went wild with speculation there.

That’s what’s come from Forests end, the release clause wasnt supposed to be known about which I find strange. But they are calling it a breach of confidentiality.

Yeah I get that. Just sounds all a bit.. made up.

Thats a bit harsh. As the season progressed he improved and was clearly ahead of Lewis by the end of it. Clearly not world class but has shown he can put in a shift. He would be perfect backup to a new RB. Lewis should be loaned or sold.
Apologies - just can't get that Derby match he simply gave away out of my head.

Or the goal against Bournemouth he gave away. Or that time at Fulham when with nobody within 10 yards of him he dribbled the ball out of play, looking like a Labrador Puppy chasing a balloon in the wind.

Nunes being in our squad is a signal of the self-managed decline of it from 2023 to 2025. He can't play in midfield and he certainly can't play at full back either - unless it's back to the mid 2000's again and we are scraping the barrel and have no hope or aim of winning anything.

You are talking about a club owned by a crazy Greek guy. Nothing is even remotely off the table when he is involved.
