Mbeumo is a good player and, like Cunha, certainly improves them (although most PL forwards would've been an upgrade on Zirkzee and Hojlund). £71m for any player going into the last year of his contract is an insane fee though, let alone one as undistinguished as Mbeumo.

He wasn’t really in the last year of his contract as Brentford had the option to extend

That said, the fee still seems toppy but he’ll improve them but the manager is a clown so it won’t make a material difference

Said it for years, the most insecure club in the land.
Their need for attention is frightening
When Real last played here a rag mate was posting pictures of a handful of Real fans in the swamp club shop. He genuinely was boasting that it showed that they were the main draw still. Needy is right and absolutely no self awareness.

When Real Sociedad were playing in the Thursday night cup at the swamp, a group of their supporters went to the Etihad to have their picture taken with the David Silva statue.

Pep’s mate Warnock just taking the piss out of these wally’s and the Mbuemo fee.
Pardew has them scrapping for relegation. Ha.

I sometimes(!) have a pint on the way home from work and the pub I go in always has Sky showing on the screens and every time it's old united games, a Neville interview of a united player or 'insert united player's name' best ever goals - but here's the thing - all their glory years are on square TV, i.e. the pictures doesn't fit the screen anymore because it was that long ago the technology has moved on.

"I remember watching the mighty red devils growing up as a boy in a squalid flat. We'd cry ourselves to sleep every night after watching them play. Fitful, restless nights, it was hard. Often my parents would see me thrashing around in my sleep, dreaming that I was scoring the winning goal in the Europa League final group sages second qualifying round in Azerbaijan, I'd say in my sleep "this is manshes united..." over and over."

"One day, my birthday, I received a signed Macheda shirt. We cried and cried for hours. We had rats, we named the biggest one Bruno and over time I taught him tricks. His favorite one was to fall down theatrically when nobody was around him."

'But my parents always told me to keep dreaming, and one day I will have to chance to turn down champions league football to play instead for Manchester United, paid hundreds of thousands a week regardless of how you play, have every nervous touch booed. That is when you know you have made it. When united come knocking you just say yes. Yes to no more trying. Yes to failure. Yes to Gucci, Lamborghini and Alderley Edge. How could I turn them down?"

LOL
Great post

He will be desperate to join up with Frank come January, and Cunha loaned to somewhere in Brazil same time.

Knowing Spurs and their ability to burn through managers Frank might be out of the job by then. Knowing the rags and their ability to pay top whack for average players, Mbueno will be hawked round Europe for a loan move by two summers time so they can find some money to buy their next saviour.

Good point about burning through managers, but this is different I've been told off a Spurs fan this time....honest

I hope so for Frank as he is a very good manager, they’ve had Nuno there and binned him off and he’s doing a sound job at Forest. They are just like the rags where the whole footballing operation is cursed which ever way they try to solve it.

Long may it continue, same at the rags for that matter

"He`s a man united player"
Biggest club in the world
Its difficult to make it at man united
Once united come knocking...
The pressure at yernited
AND MY FAVOURITE
"He`s got man united written all over him"

As long as they keep trudging out shite rhetoric like this they will never recover.

Its amazing that they really cant see whats going on around them
