"He`s a man united player"
Biggest club in the world
Its difficult to make it at man united
Once united come knocking...
The pressure at yernited
AND MY FAVOURITE
"He`s got man united written all over him"

As long as they keep trudging out shite rhetoric like this they will never recover.

Its amazing that they really cant see whats going on around them
You missed DNA off list

'I wore this shirt growing up' - Man Utd sign Mbeumo

I dont know if those stats are right, I'll take your word for it but 1 in 4 from a wide position for an unfavoured side punching well above their weight is solid numbers. Genuinely thought he was a few years older than 25 too. Sadly hes the solid, safe bet signing they need. Funny that they've paid through the nose for it but it's money they've got. He's not going to be another hojlund or zirkzee.
There's no such thing as a "safe bet" signing at the swamp.

Far better players than him have come and gone and left with a huge sigh of relief.

The club is finished mate. How many more years of irrelevance and mediocrity is it going to take before the penny drops and people realise that the rags best years are far behind them?

The other beauty, especially in the first few years after the pisscan retired, was, "He’s not a rag player".

Well, yes, he was, he was wearing the rag shirt every week.

I don't talk to any United fans but I do wonder whether any of them - on seeing these would-be titans signed for big money again and again and again - actually say among themselves, "Here we go again!"?
I've often thought about that.

I would imagine there are a few amongst them who see it for what it is. I would imagine there is also a much smaller group of fans who grimace and even shout expletives at their TV.

However, my experience of the majority of rag fans that I've met will be lapping this shit up.

They'll be buying into that carefully crafted PR statement while deriving a sense of comfort usually experienced by a toddler who cuddles their teddy bear.

"I remember watching the mighty red devils growing up as a boy in a squalid flat. We'd cry ourselves to sleep every night after watching them play. Fitful, restless nights, it was hard. Often my parents would see me thrashing around in my sleep, dreaming that I was scoring the winning goal in the Europa League final group sages second qualifying round in Azerbaijan, I'd say in my sleep "this is manshes united..." over and over."

"One day, my birthday, I received a signed Macheda shirt. We cried and cried for hours. We had rats, we named the biggest one Bruno and over time I taught him tricks. His favorite one was to fall down theatrically when nobody was around him."

'But my parents always told me to keep dreaming, and one day I will have to chance to turn down champions league football to play instead for Manchester United, paid hundreds of thousands a week regardless of how you play, have every nervous touch booed. That is when you know you have made it. When united come knocking you just say yes. Yes to no more trying. Yes to failure. Yes to Gucci, Lamborghini and Alderley Edge. How could I turn them down?"

Bravo. Fucking brilliant.

It's a curious thing, had we signed Mbuemo, I'd have been pretty underwhelmed. I'm not saying he's not a good player, but I wouldn't have him in our starting eleven, he'd be on the bench.

It's nauseating watching Sly Sports pull up stats on this fella and his 'xG' from last season (same with Cunha). Essentially, he overperformed and I do wonder whether he can continue that for another year, but there's this air of hope in their voices that he will. United need to be back.

They went to the ad break and up pops a RagTV add offering a bunch of their overseas friendlies live for £7. Honestly, you would think they won the title with the coverage and PR they get.

I cannot wait until they are back in their box by mid-September and Amorim's coat is on a shoogly peg.

Mbeumo is a good player and, like Cunha, certainly improves them (although most sunday league forwards would've been an upgrade on Zirkzee and Hojlund). £71m for any player going into the last year of his contract is an insane fee though, let alone one as undistinguished as Mbeumo.
amended for accuracy

We got when we bought another Fullback or centre back is “if they fail they just go out and buy another 50m replacement”

Now the rags just go out and buy another forward striker for 70m+ when the last one fails!

Every season it doesn’t matter how cash strapped they are they go out and always spend 100m+ every summer! We have summers we spend next to nought like last summer!

Let's list some positives

School dinners in Catalonia might improve

We won't have to wonder whether he is eligible to play if Barca draw the rags in the champions league

UK roads will be safer

What have I missed?
He won’t score his oddfluke against us

Imagine what it'd be like if they were actually any fucking good.
