PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

On what you outlined on who decides market value. Say a life jacket to buy is £100 in retail, if you are on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic and it’s the last one with a few hundred people fighting over it, how much is that life jacket worth now? Market conditions and how much someone is willing to pay sets the price, not how much someone bought one from Amazon just incase they needed one paid.
Thats exactly my point, the MARKET decides the value, no outside entity can do that, something will always be worth what someone is willing to pay as you demonstrated there, that is the basis of free market economics, could you imagine if ford rocked up to ferrari and said we actually think your cars are too expensive you should reduce them.

It's got the Man United side of 2021 haha!
Some odd ones in the top 170.

Everton & Martinez in 2014
Newcastle & Howe in 2023
No City in 2018.

But it’s a metric based on winning/losing against other ranked teams… if you go on a run against highly ranked teams, then you go up rapidly ( and fall if you lose against lower ranked teams)

we could go on forever with the shady deals and they are still there today. Thats another route we could go down in terms of related companies, the PL etc dont seem to understand that the world of billionaires is a rarified air and they all interact and intersect in one way or the other whether it being directly or indirectly, so related companies is a nonsense and unenforceable term anyway.
Messrs Gill and Parry can snif out a shady deal anything that pays above what their beloved club can achieve

Senior executive wonders if he has been lied to, for years, by the red cartel.

Yes they have been for years, the cartel will be shitting themselves.

“Premier league says being the dominant club in their competition isn’t that appealing to sponsors….”

They really are thick as fuck!
They know City's appeal to sponsors but they can't admit it because the red shirted ones will become more upset than they already are.

Other thing is it’s benefitting the league the sponsorship money going up. If City can get Puma to pay a billion over ten years what’s to stop the rags or Liverpool going to Addidas and saying if City are getting that we should be getting this. More money coming into the PL and the trickle down effect into the football league should be a good thing?

And, in that time (Pep time)
17 major honours
The treble
4 in a row
Domestic treble
100 points in a season
90+ points in four seasons (only ever been done 5 times before and one of those was a 42 game season)
Average of 89 points a season
246 wins out of 342 league games, 25 more than any other team in the same period (72%).
Scored 827 league goals (almost 2.5 per game), 80 more than Liverpool, whilst conceding 293, with Liverpool next best on 331.
The goal difference is a ridiculous +534, with Liverpool next on +413, then Arsenal on +257. EVERY other team is over 300 behind!

Guardiola won 704 points in his first 300 Premier League matches, which is 70 more than next best Jose Mourinho.

He became the fastest manager in Premier League history to earn 500 points when City drew 1-1 with Southampton in January 2022 (his 213th game.)

The only English top-flight team to score 100 goals at home in a single season in all competitions, doing so twice (2018/19 and 2022/23).

14 consecutive wins to end the 2018/19 Premier League season is the longest run of victories at the end of a campaign.

The 4-0 win over Newcastle in December 2021 was our 34th of that calendar year – a new English football record for the most top-flight wins in a calendar year, which was also our 18th away league win of the year - more than any other top-flight side has managed in the history of English football.

A few other PL records we’ve got.
Biggest title winning margin - 19 points
Smallest title winning margin - +8 GD
Most away points in a season - 50
Most away wins in a season - 16
Most consecutive away wins in a season - 12
Most goals scored in a season- 106
Most Golden Glove winners - 7

I wonder why any sponsor want to be associated with the above???

What an absolute mint team we’ve been watching these last few years and I’m very much looking forward to watching the new version emerge over the next year or two.

Somewhat unbelievable the amount of criticism they attract, especially on this site…
Pep’s on 787 points in the Premier League and Fergie is on 810. Although Sour Alex won another 361 before the PL. Hopefully Pep will hang around long enough to surpass him.

You deserve more than 1 like for your superb detailed input in this post

if i'm reading that right city only have one team in there? What a load of shite - i don't reckon the '23 side was even the best under Pep

We had to win 5 trophy’s in 2023 to get above a Dipper team that we’d schooled for years…..

It's a really good intelligent site, but that list does have a lot of weirdness about it. It's got united 2021 in it???

Your last sentence is spot on.
We have so many entitled fans on here, spoilt little loudmouths who want pep sacked if we don't win 10 nil every match.
They spoil it for me coming on here as their negativity will be the death of this forum. I can say I'm bored logging on as I know what's coming. Kneejerkers and jonny come latelys with their plastic opinions.

And breathe....
