My YouTube channel - Episode 48 (P26)

I was out of breath! I'd chucked the phone up the bank and had both hands pulling my sorry arse up a four / five foot bank relying on the thick grass in my hands not giving way!

The one off "show" I am putting on at my local bridge will be on youtube the day after the event (7th August) so you won't miss out! Filmed most of it yesterday and putting it together today / tomorrow and then need to add in pictures and footage from by gone days too.

Throwing the phone up the bank :) We have all tried to grasp slippery grass it's an unforgiving task.

I have never been to a youtube party, it should be fun, looking forward to it.

I’ve done a compilation of the 5 bridges in my area - like 2 to 3 mins at each one, the basic details and not going underneath and in the water.
Then showing old photos and film of old bridges no longer here but showing evidence as to where they were….
Should last 30 mins so folk can be at the bridge anytime between 6 and 8 at night and watch the film on a large screen inside the bridge! Free ice cream available!

Christ I thought a senior moment had taken me down a ginnel and gave me a kicking, I watched it again though because I couldn't be arsed leaning over to press pause.
Yeah the ending bit on the last edition wasn’t finished and I added more to this one but accidentally sent in the wrong version!
In the studio this afternoon polishing off 33.
Another ford for me to cross at the Moxley bridge in Chelsea!

You have a studio, you posh rich fucker!

How many times did you ford that river given the amount of camera angles it took? Or have you bought a load more cameras?

The lane leading up to that bridge looked very English this time. Good call not going in there, looks like a tombstone Tenerife accident waiting to happen.

A small but pertinent suggestion for you about your night time bridge excursions, you should be more visible and wear something like our 1999 play off final shirt it'd save your life if some mad American Dukes Of Hazzard nutter come tear-arsing through the bridge and didn't see you.

Ha ha I went through the river 5 times.
The first time I actually got stuck!
I hadn’t put it into 4 wheel drive and was stuck in the middle! Took a few nervy seconds to fix it mid stream.
Now at this point I was filming from inside the Jeep. So went back round for number 2 - but towards the end it was like an episode of Voyage to the bottom of the sea inside the Jeep being thrown left to right and back again, so I didn’t use that footage.
Then number 3 from the rear, 4 from the middle and 5 at the end.

The next few episodes are steep banks with lots of scrambling and acting the mountain goat……

As for the night time bridge, no cars have driven on it since 2010 so I’m safe to film at night!

Episode 34 is out!

Lovely weather in the video, makes a nice change these last few weeks.

Have the locals been using that bridge for target practice? Two dates one bridge? There was a tasty argument that spilled over into passive aggressive bridge naming for sure ;-)

Remember in future that branches can be just as unpredictable as slippery blades of grass and not trusted as any kind of mountain climbing aid. You'd have been up there in 10 seconds when you were a nipper.

Yes I almost went over backwards at the end!
This little river proved to be quite tricky to enter into over 4 of the 6 bridges - stay tuned for more!
