Having myself disagreed with @twosips in the past on academy players here and there, only to eventually see what he had been saying some time later - it is worth noting he does watch the young lads a fair bit, and his opinion is worth taking on board. Imho. When it comes to our academy players, at least.
 
With the squad overhaul we're having and the amount of new players trying to integrate into Pep's style of playing, i think buying Trafford now is a good move.

Any new player, especially a keeper will take time to adjust to how we play, but Trafford looks like he's got the tools and he wants to be our No. 1 too, so you gotta like that. Get it done Hugo!

ha cheers mate! Admittedly these days i dont know much about the current generations as i just dont watch academy games anymore as i dont have the time (parenthood!). I can speak with conviction on the Palmer/Trafford era, but not the current ones.

Googled him for scale in team photos- from the June of 2023 game v. Germany- he's stood next to Branthwaite who is listed at 6'5- some places 6'4.Traff looks at least an inch shorter- and two players over there's Charlie Cresswell listed at 6'2. Trafford looked maybe a little taller- I'm educated guessing Traff's 6'3 max. That's 2 years ago so who knows if maybe he had a very late growth spurt.FzuuJRKWwAA3ds2.jpg
 
He's 6' 4 Unless anyone that met him got a tape measure out and had him up against a wall I'd go for the facts that are out everywhere on the internet rather than someone's opinion he's not tall FFS
 
There's a lot of '6 foot on tinder' going on, the best thing to do is look at the squad photos, he looks about the same size as Branthwaite on the one above who is a big fucking fella so he's certainly got no concerns in the height department.
