Sverre Nypan | Signs for City on a 5 year deal

I always had this believe that the Vikings were quiet stoic people who quietly went about pillaging and raiding villages, looks like I got that all wrong
Usually mouthy Dads cause a lot of trouble, I noticed a lot of the 'WE' in his speech.

Alfie, probably did the same for Haaland when he was younger but not so much now, as we are the final move.

Hopefully, this boy will be as good as well but a long way to go for him.

It seems like they have a genuine fear of having their kids go off the rails. Looking at the likes of Grealish andYamal, I totally understand why they feel that way. It's only a matter of time before Yamal completely crashes.

No idea what Yamal has done tbh but I understand the point.

Am I missing something, I don't see what his dad has said that's wrong?

It's his kid, rather have his dad saying he wants to go and get experience and a bellend agent that's in his ear pulling him away.

Just a dad looking out for the best interests of his kid
It would seem so.

We're, we, we, 'the plan' talking about 8 teams lining up to loan him.

City's decision, not Daddy's to decide and not Daddy's place to spout off to the press.

Think Bellingham's dad.

Flying out 30 year old onlyfans "models", throwing a wolf of wall street type parry with dwarfs and naked women running all around. I get that he's young but as a sportsman he has to know that all it takes is one accusation to see his whole career crumble right in front of the world.

Oh I’m sure he will, impossible to say for sure whether players live up to their potential, but ihis potential is very high, and he seems very driven and very thoughtful about his career pathway, he had many choices and took his time.I’m expecting he’ll take a place in the squad when Bernardo leaves next summer and becomes a regular over the years. I’d say at good 90% chance he plays for us.
I get less excited when they instantly go on loan as at 18 if he was that good already then he’d be surely knocking on our first team door ….but maybe he will do a zinchenko and actually play for us.

How many midfielders do we actually need.
And we still don’t have a single recognised right back…..

Yeah, not many successes when they hit the loans straight away, I think Zin is about the only one and his loan was a disaster as well.

Though a lot of our youth who have been sold to other clubs seem to have a better hit rate but those clubs will have no interest in loaning, buying cheapish and selling high is their model.

I more sure he’ll play for us than I have been for any other player we’ve bought and loaned. Only need to read about him and how much he thought about his many options. For him to decide on us knowing the plan was a years loan says he’s had a lot of assurances about his career progression plan. Obviously nothing is guaranteed.
Think he comes in as Bernardo replacement.

Hopefully he continues to develop then at his next place …..

Yeah I will wait and see how well he does when he gets back from this loan - hopefully it’s only a one season loan and then he makes an impact

Gundo, Kova and Bernie - 34,32,30. We need to swell the ranks with young midfielders and give them enough time to settle in before these three leave the team set up. I would argue that we might need 2 more midfielders and then give each one a chance, sink or swim, the ones that don't grab the chance with both hands would then be sold for a decent profit.

Its how you interpret the 'we' in the statement I interpreted it as 'we' being City, the player and his advisor.
I went the other way.

just read what his dad said, and i cant however hard i try get "mouthy dad", not sure what people are reading
Good for you, you may not agree, but it really isn't hard to see how somebody may see it another way.

For clarity, the dad maps out his career in the foreign press, including giving out target club information and potential league destinations, talk about the plan.

Project how the dad will be like in two or three years if things are not progressing like he (or 'WE') wants ie not in the first team.

So, as I said, he sounds like a mouthy Dad.

That "foreign press" you mention is a Norwegian site that his dad (a Norwegian) is talking to. The English translation may or may not be 100% accurate but the fact that he name checks Girona is of no surprise to anyone.

I'm sorry, but your post sounds a bit 'little englander'.
