If I was to guess, I'd say he's a long way down the pecking order. If the club was to get what they see as an acceptable offer, I think they'd sell him, rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

I can't even put a value on him because he has been OK in some matches and anonymous in others. Maybe he is just at championship level so it's time to unleash him to his own path and career.

I'd love him to succeed at City. We all like to see academy lads doing well here. I'm just not sure he's at the level we need. As you said, he's inconsistent. Sometimes good, sometimes invisible. It might be in his best interests to move on.

£25m is a good offer, can't be too far away from what we value him.

We obviously dont want to get burnt if he has a good season in the next 2 years and becomes a £60m+ player.

I think its unlikely he does a Palmer but his performances at the Euro U21's were promising enough for a club to pay £30m+.

Don't think we'd want much more but I expect we want sell on clauses etc.

Must be pretty sure they will get another bid in as 25m with 12 month left for a player overtly not part of our plans seems a decent price
Loads of time left unless we need some capital for a late window purchase . Personally not sure he will fetch what Palmer got with 30m probably the max.

Most of the responses seem to be suggesting we accept their office. A bit like when chelsea offered £40/45m for Palmer? Which then of course with hindsight posters were saying we should never have accepted. I wish I could harvest hindsight and sell it in a bottle. Also there’s a lot of general criticism for City selling too low so surely rejecting £25m, if true, is good and we believe we can get more?

I'd sell him. He hasn't kicked on from breaking into the squad and just doesn't look interested half the time. We've seen little flashes of brilliance but you could count on one hand how many times it happened. He's Forest standard so I think it'd suit him.

Still unsure about this one. A year from now, we’re going to be looking for midfielders and paying handsomely, especially with an eye to the homegrown pool. The immediate future says sell, to be sure, but succession planning has not been a strong point, and I still think he has a high ceiling.
