UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

Look, I dont think its really the right place to be effing and jeffing, but can we pack it in with the "mainly girls at that" type nonsense? Little girls dont needn't be protected from naughty words any more than boys.

Just commenting on what I saw in the crowds, as most little boys will be more looking forward to 16 August than that what’s just been on for last few weeks, and that is the truth

I think there were more girls in the crowd than boys for sure. It was the inference that swearing in front of girls is somehow worse that i didn't get.

You just want an argument for arguments sake you do, I'll try and explain that shall I say that boys are more used to hearing it, especially match going kids, albeit it's not right, that's what I was inferring

So; she swore. Hardly a hanging offence. I seem to remember "big Meeks"™ doing so (twice?), and people on here finding it hilarious. Double standards? Society has changed; swearing isn't seen as that big of a deal these days (you can argue that maybe it should be), and I'd agree it's not the best look for someone in as prominent a position in her profession as she clearly is right now. But that's modern society.

Good to see the Lionesses got a decent turn out, considering it was in the middle of a working day.
What did she say?

Is that it?
A bit over the top reaction from a few on here!

I think it depends where you are in life. If I'd travelled down and was there, or watching on TV, I wouldn't want my 7 year old hearing her say that for the fourth time in a few days. It's not a slip up, she thinks it's cool. That's fine, but she needs to remember there's kids that look up to her.

Equally, if I had a teenage daughter that was watching it, it's likely I wouldn't give a fuck myself.

I think your 7 year old hears that word a lot on the playground - not saying what the player did was ok, just hardly earth shattering

I can guarantee she doesn't. The school she goes to is spot on, we're not living in Moss Side mate

Either way, hearing it from Arlo in the playground at break time doesn't tell her it's okay to say. Seeing Chloe Kelly say it for a fourth time does.

As I say, depends where you are in life and what type of parent you are.

Mate, you've PM'd me about deleting some of my posts for less than that hahahaha
It's not quite the same, someone using that against another poster (which I'm guessing was the case; I don't recall messaging you, but I'll take your word for it) as opposed to posting a video of someone saying it. Being abusive to other posters is against the rules of the forum, and is punishable by a warning. If you feel you've been unfairly treated in the past, please feel free to contact the admin.

I wasn't abusive to another poster, but I get what you're saying.

I give a fuck that she's sworn. Some kids hear that and they see it as a green light that they can go back into school after the holiday, mouth it to the poor overworked caretaker and make out that Kelly said it so it's ok! She's uttered it 'cos she has proclaimed herself as a 'national treasure' and these thoroughly obnoxious 'treasures' think any kind of behaviour is fine as someone has given them the label of 'role model'!

As a kid, if I see one of my favourite players two footing someone I think that's okay to do in the playground. Kids are sponges, they copy EVERYTHING! The amount of SUIIII celebrations I see kids do piss me off

I'm the last person to be a bit precious about this kind of thing. What is I think slightly curious is the context. It's not Bluemoon! (By the way, I occasionally look on the other forums, this is definitely one of the sweariest ones — me as much as much as anyone…) She's been given the microphone to make something like a mini-speech. It's a semi-formal occasion, and as such she is temporarily an ambassador for the team (as is anybody else taking the microphone on that stage — in that context. It's not really like a post-match interview with an out-of-breath player who still doesn't know whether he's coming or going, you know.
Anyway, it's no huge deal either way.

I guess my initial comment was based on I received a few texts from folk asking me if I had heard what she said? But no one actually told me what she said.......
So I was imagining she maybe made some kind of political rant slagging off the Prime Minister or Farage or Trump or even a great dig at Sir Joseph of Barton! (now that would have been something to see!)
Instead, I discover she "simply" said the F word.........
Truly, truly disappointed...
