Right back options

We need a RB who doesn't upon stepping on the pitch immediately torpedo and hamstring our defense due to their inability to cover and competently defend. We dont need a prolific offensive threat who offers nothing in the defensive end.

I know most cannot see Nunes making the necessary defensive step up... if that's concensus from those pulling the strings we dont need another offense only-trips over their own feet tracking back stop gap panic buy.

Only 19 years old and has made under 30 appearances in the Eredivisie.

I think we need someone with a bit more experience to be our first choice RB.

I wasn’t suggesting we sign him — I was simply asking the poster I responded to, to include him in the comparison with the other players mentioned. I just wanted to see how he stacks up against them.

Have a feeling pep will get one as he will still want to do somthing unconventional as every season he likes to show what he can do instead of just being the best coach .
 
Hope the rumours we’re gonna go with what we’ve got in terms of a right back are false

If not, by Christmas, I predict everybody will be saying it was a huge fuck up not to buy the genuine right back we were crying out for
 
I would like a recognised RB too. Failing that however, I would hope we play a system where the new LB can push up to support midfield when we are in possession and the RB pushes across into the right side of a back three. Any of Khusinov, Stones or Akanji (assuming they stay) could play this “RB” role. I would prefer this to Nunes or Lewis playing RB.

James fit now is probably irrrlevant as he is never more than a few weeks from an injury that keeps him out for several months
 
I’d be amazed if we didn’t sign a RB.

No way Pep will be happy playing Nunes against top teams at RB.

The question is who. As we have Lewis to rotate it will have to be a starter level player that can fit right in and Khusanov can be injury cover as Akanji has been in recent years.

We need a proper RB.
