I’m not conflicted. For me, media outlets should confirm age of people and not allowed to provide content to them if the images are age restricted.

Currently it’s a shitshow where our kids are being fed ugly stuff that is not right. If those of adult age want to watch extreme stuff, then that’s up to them, but governments have to try and stop harmful content and if these media outlets won’t do anything, then they must be forced to.
 
Most kids over the age of 11 will know how VPN works. If you believe any differently then you are in denial.

We’ve got to keep the foreigners out in order that we look after our own.

When attempts are made to look after our own, this impinges on their personal freedoms.

The penny will drop at some point that the angry, vocal Al Murray wannabes just want to complain about everything. They don’t actually want things fixed.

I think it is quite short sighted. I mean, there is a very high risk of teens turning to the dark web as a result. Which comes with a much higher risk.

Er. No. Think we are getting a bit carried away with that take. I mean, let us have free access to nudie pics or we’re off to buy a kilo of coke and an AK47.

Cheaper to buy a VPN.
 
I wonder what a Venn Diagram of those protesting outside of hotels (or support them) and those in absolute disagreement of legislation that is designed to protect children from harmful content online would look like?

Would it be a perfect circle?

What? The dark web is free to access. Plenty of things to access there (the BBC, Facebook, Guardian, etc., all provide their own onion service), aside from the drugs. Unfortunately, once they’ve got the browsers downloaded, they can more easily stumble upon the darker side that they wouldn’t find on Google.

I think the more obvious venn diagram is those on here who are left wing and who those are incapable of sensible open debate with resorting to personal attacks, insults and abuse.

Talk about the internet being a cesspit, they have turned this place into one.

I raise genuine concerns about this bill, saying it's nuanced and I am mixed about it for various reasons, and it ends up with me being described as a Jimmy Saville supporter. There is no excuse for such libel. None.

Some of you lot should be ashamed of yourselves.

We weren’t allowed to condemn Tommy Robinson because we’ve never met him personally- so using that logic can we not condemn Jimmy Saville and other vile individuals?
Pretty easy to grasp but a nice try anyway.

It doesn't protect kids though, most Internet service providers already gave parents the option to block adult content. It's not every porn site that has this either, plenty of lesser known and obscure ones still have no age restrictions and the horny teenage boy will find them quickly and start watching more extreme stuff than was found on pornhub.

There is a pretty apparent Venn diagram with domestic abuse and protesting outside the hotels though, a rather large percentage of those arrested have convictions for violence against women, so I don't really disagree with you there.

Unless you were outside a hotel shouting at brown people, which is not information I’m aware of?

Ironically, it was a question, which you have tried to shut down with talk of Jimmy Saville.

No, a lot will probably be trying to find out now about they work. The vast majority of people including teenagers have no idea about them currently.

I suspect you were right 1 week ago. 1 week later I am sure that ship has long since sailed. It doesn't take weeks for 1 kid to say to another "install Proton VPN, sorted".

Nah will take a lot longer than that, and most of them wouldn’t be doing it still anyway.
