Most of them are spending because Newcastle and Villa have shown them that they are well capable of catching up. My betting is someone high up at LFC picked it up hobknobbing with Richard Masters in the USA. If not LFC then it is likely Arsenal. Either way it confirms what we all know has been happening. The PL are under massive pressure to make something stick and there will be some sort of settlement. Their own survival depends on it.

If we were the only club approached, then the PL have been totally out of order, not the comedian.
I had thought several clubs would be involved in some sort of a Premier League PR or advertisement but haven't seen any other teams mentioned.
