Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

I think we were told a couple months ago when other attendance rule changes were announced about the need to nominate a small number of non paid members at the start of each season to be able to transfer to them, in addition to any paid members on f and f.
BUT pretty sure they've snuck in this new line about not being able to transfer to other season ticket holders this week. That was never mentioned before I don't think and changes things quite a bit

Not that i think any of the rule changes are acceptable btw, just that this addition makes it even worse

Assuming so at this point. Unless there is an exception for cup games, or at least if they know the recipient is not already going to the game. New Attendance rules only apply to league games but can't see anything on new transfer rules info to suggest that it does not include all games. Be good to have confirmed by city matters if any reps are on here. I would ask city via twitter as they were always quick to respond, but seem to have been locked out
I think they should make an exception. I can understand their thinking re transferring league games to a season card holder. They have already got a ticket so the transferred one is going to be used by an anonymous someone else. Which they don’t want. But that not the case with cup games. I’m not on the cup scheme. They can see that, so if my son transfers it to me it’s going to be used by me.

Yes they did announce something about non members. But the season card holders is absolutely snuck in. It’s not even on the email.

Yeah I read all of the email and thought I'd understand it all correctly until someone on here pointed out the line on the website

Sick and tired of the club pushing shite like this on the eve of every new season. Removal of ticket transfers between ST holders is, quite frankly, a joke. Especially given the stricter criteria implemented around missed games & ticket exchange listings.

I don't think they'll be able to add you if you have any paid membership. So if you want to buy a ticket independently as well then you'd need to upgrade to the £35 one.
Ok cheers mate, I think il just get the £35 one and then I’ve got a shot at tickets myself and if my mates need to, they can transfer to me. Let some of our other pals get on the non member list

Is your wife a non member ?
If she is and you have registered her you will not be able to register anymore non members .
All non members have to be registered at the same time.
Yeah, I've fallen foul of this. I nominated my missus, with the intention of adding my mate's lad before Monday, when he had a supporter number but now locked out of nominating anyone else!!!

So many things have been done right over the past 17 years but the powers that be continually make you feel like they don't give a shite about long standing supporters.

I used to have an uncle who was amazingly generous with gifts but 10 minutes later who say something horrendous and take all the joy out of the gift. City remind me of uncle Jim!!

I didn’t know that. From our family only my son is on the cup schemes. If he can’t go, he transfers to one of us. But I assume now he can’t transfer to us as we’re season ticket holders. And he can’t put it in exchange. So it will be empty.
What it says on the website (https://www.mancity.com/help/articl...ransferring-your-season-ticket-33468589145876) is:-

Ticket Transfer allows Season Ticket Members to transfer their match tickets when they can’t attend a Premier League, Women's Super League or *Cup Match.

*Ticket Transfer can be used for Cup Matches, however this is only available to Season Ticket Member on the Cup Schemes. If you're not on the Cup Schemes you will not be able to transfer your Cup match tickets.

What it doesn't say is whether you can transfer to Season ticket member who is not on the cup scheme. Seems they are keeping us guessing until the first time you want to try it.

This new rule has been brought in off the back of last season, where a lot of members didn’t renew. The Club needed a new revenue stream and another way to push memberships onto other supporters. I get it from a business point of view, but for us Blues who just want to transfer a ticket to a mate or family member for the odd match – or even a last-minute change – it ends up costing that person a lot of money, even though you’ve already paid for the ticket. It’s even worse if you’ve got a child’s ticket and need to send it to an adult, because there’s an extra fee on top.
It’s also off the back of a lot of Blues saying there were away fans in their sections and they were a risk to crowd safety. Whether this is a cure I doubt it but it will be part of the rationale.

This business of it not working on certain phones because they have changed something, is not right. In fact it shows the Club have not done their homework and have fucked up royally.

Bring back the plastic cards.

They better pass that rational onto their ticket partners as thats where 99% of the away fans in City areas are coming from.

Did they not lose a load of members last year because of the Madrid fuck up the year before where they cashed in membership over loyalty?

How many just think fuck it I cannot be arsed with this shit anymore, I cannot even be bothered to try and understand it, ticket check this, ticket check that?, it’s a game of football for fucks sake not entry into Area 51. I see fans asking for tickets for Tottenham online, yet it is supposedly sold out until the next ticket drop, or basically when the tourists have stopped buying, what a load of absolute shite, just stick them all on sale at sensible prices to everyone and allow season ticket holders the chance to move them on in the same method as before either on the exchange or to friends
