Just don't see us going in for another flair player.Different players. Cherki isn't a No 6, whilst Paqueta can play 6, 8, 10 & right wing as he's done for Brazil on occasions.

tbf 2 years in football are long timeHe’s 28 in a couple of weeks. In two years he’ll be an ‘unc’ with fans demanding we flog him.

Just don't see it happening. No space, no reason, no long term need. While we do have a plethora of midfielders/attacking midfielders, many of them are either young, unproven in England, inconsistent, or injury prone. Paqueta is battle-hardened and presumably wants a final bite at the big time, maybe even has a point to prove. Wouldn’t be against him coming, but many pieces on the chess board would have to be moved around or even taken off it for that to happen.
I can only really see this happening if we promised him if he was cleared we’d sign him.
Talk in Brazil of Jack going the other way but can’t see that happening

That would’ve been Txiki, though.
Can’t see us spending a lot to go back in for him - as much as I’d like us to!
No space I can agree with. However, long-term requires defining. He’d be much like Kovacic’s signing, a bridge until others have matured; Paqueta is the kind of player O’Reilly could well become, but only in 4-6 years. The reason I say that is because Paqueta is a real physical unit, and young players cannot acquire that physicality in just a couple of seasons. If we have questions over Rodri’s ability to come through the season unscathed, then I could well understand an interest in Paqueta. Minus Rodri and de Bruyne, we lack a bit of heft in midfield, and for all their other attributes, the more recent signings, including Gonzalez and Reijnders, just do not come with that power. Still unconvinced it will happen, but I can see the reason in it.Just don't see it happening. No space, no reason, no long term need.
My thinking is more Paqueta added to Reijnders & Gonzalez covers us for Rodri & other CM positions. All dependent on clearing out Gundog, Kovacic, McAtee & Grealish.Just don't see us going in for another flair player.
The vast majority of your posts make no sense, so someone telling you this is nearly always a fair point.Fair point. Hence why we won't be buying him :)
Macatee to Forest looks more likely imo.My thinking is more Paqueta added to Reijnders & Gonzalez covers us for Rodri & other CM positions. All dependent on clearing out Gundog, Kovacic, McAtee & Grealish.
We lose four & gain one, which helps reduce our bloated squad & offers us a more long-term midfield option going forward. If WHU take McAtee or Grealish in exchange, it's a win win all round.

Sorry to point out the obvious, BUT that's the issue. Several older players have said they're staying, so what do we do with the new players presumably brought in to replace them if they refuse to leave? But none of those four have left lol. Kovacic injured and won't go. Gundogan is staying another season. McAtee and hopefully Grealish will go once decent offers come in
Transfer makes no sense, will only hurt gametime for players most in need of it to recover their form
Make them wear a red shirt in training. If they survive give them an extension, but tell the younger midfielders in advance what the deal is.Sorry to point out the obvious, BUT that's the issue. Lol... At least you've offered a solution, unlike some ;-)Make them wear a red shirt in training. If they survive give them an extension, but tell the younger midfielders in advance what the deal is.
Medics, stand by.
Or it isn’t true.If we are genuinely interested, it must mean we are planning to sell Gundogan and Kovacic surely.
If that’s the case I’d be in, especially if it meant an easy route out for Grealish.
That being said, would ruin Nico G’s chances at the club. Pep must really not rate him.
