Then when you win something or look like winning they will pop up again on social media and help to make the fanbase look total arses!
IF Wrexham, for example, dominated for the next 20 years. they'd have the same problem within 15-30 years.
Exactly.
We slagged off utd for years for having the plastic population and the Jonny come latelys and now we've got the same problem.
I lost count the amount of times I've been getting a fanzine at the match and up comes someone with a bag of goodies from the citystore asking if it was the programme.
Suppose it is the price of success.

Al-Hilal have reached an agreement to sign Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez for 53m euros (£46.3m)

Must admit who ever is in charge of negotiating transfers out deserves a pay rise.

Success breeds easier to sell fringe players.

Happens all the time.

Something we had and still do to some point, just not what it was.

If the add-ons for his initial contract were as easy as suggested (simply playing games), it's still a £40m loss on a 26 year old player.

I really don't get why Liverpool fans are so vicious to players wanting to leave. Gerrard got death threats, Alexander-Arnold is spoken of like he is a leper. Why do they do this?
The Gerrard thing was maybe driven by their view that Chelsea were not a "big and historical" club and they could not accept that, at that time Chelsea was more powerful in terms of finance than them. There was not much outcry about Owen going to Madrid or earlier McMinimum going to Real Madrid and that was maybe because the dippers saw them as fellow "European Royalty".

Imagine if TAA had gone to City - he would have been treated ten times as badly as Raheem and he had enough shit off those twats.

My memory is not the best and I do get muddled with dates and things!

McManaman - in 97 Barcelona bid £12m for him. It was accepted. Deal fell through because of wages. He ran down his contract and left on a free 18 months later for Real Madrid. It wasn't well received. Real weren't a dominant force even in their own league at that time. I think remember he got booed before he left at a game against spurs.

Owen left for a fee. A small fee but he wanted to go and I don't think at the time we could offer both him and Gerrard a new contract. Not on the terms they wanted. I don't recall all the finer details of the Gerrard situation but I do remember some guy burned a shirt which was shown live on sky sports. Not done just for the cameras obviously! I think it was Benitez had just joined as manager and Gerrard said something about the clubs ambition. Benitez and Mourinho were considered the best young managers around and proven winners. I think it was all about a new contract and bigger wages in Gerrard's case - he took offence that negotiations had gone quiet because it was end of the season and people had gone on holiday! There was a lot of confusion and a lot of rumours. Nothing has ever been revealed despite those rumoured people no longer being with us.

TAA I think if he had said 12 months ago it would be his final season then he'd be better thought of by many of those that are irked. He is entitled to leave for free but I think as a boyhood supporter people are asking where is love for the club is? He could have signed a contract extension with a minimum release clause. Left in a 'better' way. That is why he was booed. The social media hateful and vile stuff can get to fuck. Wankers.

Personally I wish him the best of fortune. We'll move on. I believe that will be the feeling of most level headed supporters in the long term.

But the British sports media said this lad was going to give Haaland a run for his money and some said he was better than big Erl!
You know that the media doesn't care if he is or he isn't? In the last few days they are doing the same thing with Sesko.
When folk stop biting and interacting with this shite, they will have to have a rethink over their practices.

'Why Mo salah eating a hot dog is good for Darwin Nunez prospects...'
'Genius Pep walks past hot dog stand! find out why this could be bad for Darwin Nunez but good for Liverpools transfer plans!'

It is all bollocks.

But Nunez was absolutely shite mate.

I am going to assume you don't watch all Liverpool matches. If one singles out just the misses in the 6 yard box, of which there have been several, it is understandable one has that opinion.

The price, media/fan hype in Haaland comparisons and overreaction to him if he didn't score, contributes massively to this. < IF one ignores this bit, because it is meaningless, looks at the all round contribution to the team, goals and missed chances, it will leave one in dismay.

HOW does he score THAT? is met with equal exasperation in HOW does he miss THAT?

Maybe that is just who he is and no one will ever change him. He is certainly not 'shit'. He is also not 'clinical'.

Not that difficult when FSG are doing business with the Saudi PIF to invest in the Saudi League and LIV Golf. And FSG want to sign Isak from Newcastle. Don’t worry though because no one is asking questions about it.

Good response thanks but I am dubious that most Liverpool supporters are level headed. I was on holiday in Spain somewhere when the season that Sterling joined City started. I remember three generations of a dipper family screaming and booing at him in a televised match. The other customers in the bar were pretty shocked especially at some of the vile racist crap that the grandmother was coming out with. They were fully indoctrinated cult members.
I have met a few sensible Liverpool fans but they are the exceptions.
