Final total.
Joke country!
My labour MP signed/voted in the recent parliamentary letter with 221 other MPs, she replied with the followingas a Labour supporter they have me by the fingertips - any more of this and they can fuck off which is sad because our new Labour MP is quite effective
Local elections usually mean local council elections, not parliamentary ones.My labour MP signed/voted in the recent parliamentary letter with 221 other MPs, she replied with the following
“I would like to thank you and the hundreds of constituents who have contacted me regarding Gaza and the West Bank in the 18 months since the October 7th attacks.
I welcome the actions taken last month by the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary to impose targeted sanctions in response to the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
These are necessary steps that reflect our commitment to upholding international law and basic human rights. Israel has a right to defend itself against terrorism and to protect its citizens from attacks such as those carried out on October 7th. No country should be expected to tolerate such attacks against its people.
However, this cannot justify Israel’s response in the months since, which have gone far beyond what is reasonable. The humanitarian situation in Gaza is now catastrophic, innocent civilians, including children are paying the ultimate price. It cannot go on like this.
Moreover, continued military escalation and the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank only deepen the suffering and push the prospects for peace further out of reach. We must be clear, the protection of civilian life is not optional.
I support the Prime Minister’s decision to take action against these violations and call on all parties to work urgently toward a ceasefire and a just resolution to this conflict. The UK must continue to stand for its principles of justice, international law, and dignity for both Palestinians and Israelis.
I welcome continued communication with all constituents on the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, please do write to me as and when this situation progresses. We must continue to talk to each other and discuss how we can prevent such needless atrocities from continuing to take place.
Yours sincerely,
Marie Rimmer CBE, MP
Member of Parliament for St Helens South and Whiston”

For the first time ever I wrote to my MP about Palestine, because she acknowledged my letter and signed the letter to Starmer I will vote for her again in the local elections but at GE Starmer has failed over Gaza.
I will have to wait and see it won’t be the Conservatives or Reform

I support the people who are saying they support a proscribed organisation (even though it isn't an organisation).Yet every single one of those arrested today had a choice. They could have turned up, protested, supported the plight of the Palestinians and opposed the IDF and Netanyahu and his government but no, they had to very publicly state they support a banned group.
Admit it, it’s not really about the Palestinians is it for many?
Then it wouldn't be on the news, would it?It’s a bit sad really, older people trying to bring a little bit of meaning into however many years they have left, by trying to be controversial.
As you say, just protest the issues, no need to mention PA.
Cooper out and then whoever replaces her out and then whoever replaces them out….
Just stop with the I support PA shite, it’s not difficult.
You mean, they're not dangerous terrorists?Sorry what’s the age limit for breaking the law ? Doesn’t matter if you’re 20 or 90, if you break the law you break the law. None of these are going to spend time in prison let’s face it.
You mean, they're not dangerous terrorists?
What have you done to protest against genocide?
You've seen the videos of people being arrested for placards that don't mention PA. It's a placard. Not a gun, not a bomb, and no-one's being starved or ethnically cleansed.I’m on the side of everyone that protests against the genocide in Gaza, but you can do that without attributing support for Palestine Action, everyone knew that.
I was a lifelong labour voter before the last election. But I wasn't voting for genocide so I voted elsewhere (not tory)365 arrested. This Labour government is fucking shameful.
Lifelong Labour voter but never again
Its a shitshow that wa avoidable, as soon as starmer and cooper had the moronic idea to pescribe it as a terrorist group this was coming, and lets be honest it was done because they thought it would sell well with potential reform voters after the RAF incident was used by Rice to bash labour.Sorry what’s the age limit for breaking the law ? Doesn’t matter if you’re 20 or 90, if you break the law you break the law. None of these are going to spend time in prison let’s face it.
CND got rid of US tactical nuclear weapons from Britain.Feels a bit CND ish which whilst a worthy cause was largely well meaning white sandal wearing types who achieved chuff all whilst most of us just get on with making the most of life on a somewhat xxxxed up planet!
They set out with the clear intention of being arrested, cameras ready, and they were duly arrested.Yet every single one of those arrested today had a choice. They could have turned up, protested, supported the plight of the Palestinians and opposed the IDF and Netanyahu and his government but no, they had to very publicly state they support a banned group.

I know you seem to defend Labour to the hilt but i thought you’d see this for the disgrace it is. Obviously if you break the law age is pretty irrelevant. The problem is this law is complete bollocks and disgusting. Impossible to predict what nonsense law these dictators will come up with next and where it will all end.Sorry what’s the age limit for breaking the law ? Doesn’t matter if you’re 20 or 90, if you break the law you break the law. None of these are going to spend time in prison let’s face it.
That is one benefit. If an MP brings riots to their town they'll get the blame from the decent folk there.Meanwhile Gary Gammun and his army of fuckwitts are trashing Newark 'in the name of freedom'...
The local MP will probably be joining in.
