They're a good side and they've recruited well but if age suddenly catches up with Salah and VVD, the glue that holds them together, they will find it tough. Add a couple of injuries into the mix and it could be a tough season, especially if we get our act together.

What I do find strange about Saudi transfers are players are going for the money & often when no other club is interested. So, why the high transfer fee? It makes no sense.

I bet there’s some cute loyalty bonuses for players leaving without requesting a transfer.

Yes, it was a friendly. However, it doesn't always feel like a friendly at Wembley, especially if you lose.

Parish did appear to be preoccupied on his phone when Morrison was prattling on with himself. He was probably checking his emails for any news on their appeal.

By the way, what's with your fans booing the national anthem?

That sort of thing is usually frowned upon, but not a word was said about it on the channel that I watched it on.

What's the point in having "fuck you" money if you're not going to splash it around.

They remind me of that Harry Enfield character "loads o money"

It must be driving the owners of Newcastle FC crazy. They'll have at their disposal a war chest that would have made the pisscan's look like a catapult and a pee shooter yet they're totally hamstrung by PSR and FFP.
 
I see they are moaning about palace fans singing during the minute silence for Jota. It is bad but they have very short memories. Happy to take the piss when the queen died and I remember we played them at home the weekend after George best died and there was a minute silence at every ground - well everywhere except the away end where the liverpool fans were as they sang all the way through it

They boo the national anthem..... not a word from the commentary team.

Yet, they expect the rest of the country to engage and join in their vigils.

It doesn't seem like a high transfer fee to me. See the Sesko and Ekitke fees.

I didn't hear Palace fans singing during the Jota silence on the TV. Perhaps the Palace fans were unaware. I have always found their fanbase great and very friendly so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I suspect the media trying to blame Palace fans are just doing the usual deflection tactics because the LFC fans booed the national anthem again. I am not much of a monarchist myself but it is totally classless to just insult other people. It would be easy to remain silent. I don't buy their spurious claims that it's all because of Thatcher etc.

That’s not how you use fuck you money….. You give the player the money, not the club he’s leaving.
