Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Romano saying around £70m on his video and he would go back into market if we lost him and Grealish.

I hope we get it done then.

£70m is more than decent for him and if it allows us to sign someone of the same standard as Marmoush then we'll be much better for it.

Really, I'd be happier to put the money towards a right back but I guess we'll see.

How good was Marmoush at 21? Took until he was 25 to arrive at all.

This is why this whole approach is daft.

What happened to the 250m war chest and "tough conversations", now we're looking to break even and give up one of the best young talents doing it.

I’d be worried about letting the younger players leave (Reis, Echverri) and Savio, whilst no one wants the ‘Uncs’. For some reason, if none of the Unc defenders leave, I can see us sending Khusanov on loan which would be total madness.
You're going on ignore for mentioning uncs you 12 posts bellend. The same goes for every other **** who uses that phrase, fucking wankstains.

I mean if we can reinvest that money into someone that can get us 20 G+A in the prem then it’s not a bad shout.

I don't get the relevance tbh.

Are we supposed to stick it out for 4 years with Savinho to see if he becomes as good as Marmoush?

I agree with that. The summer started off great and then stopped abruptly.

If we went and got Rodrygo now though everyone is going to be hailing our business. Have to put in to perspective and wait and see what Viana is planning.
The same Rodrygo who spent one year in the same league as Savinho and got 4 less goals and assists being 3 years older playing for a better team.

I just think he was 4th in the Ballon Dor young player award in 2024 and was our top assister last year, with statistically anomalous poor/unlucky finishing.

We're not "sticking it out" imo we're developing a top 5-10 winger in the world for a decade to come.

He’s done it at the absolute highest level year after year in the champions league. Arguably is better off the left too

But he can do it "year after year" as hes almost twice as far into his professional career.

We're getting a bit close to mirroring the Chelsea ideology that gave up on KDB and Salah.

I am sorry, 70m is not a fucking earth shattering price. It's less than he's worth for fucks sake. we're gonna earn 40m from savinho, that's PEANUTS. don't tell me this is a price "we can't ignore".
70 million British pound is less than Savinho is worth? How much do you value him at?

He’s replaceable and we can get a good fee for him. Decent talent but won’t reach the heights here. Good move for everyone involved.

Hopefully means we can open talks for a right back like Porro or Spence in return.

A winger who has scored 3 goals in total for a season won’t be valued as highly in Prem after a bad year for the club. He had plenty of opportunities. £70m would be a heist. £40m profit after a year and wages off books.

Was only behind Guler, Yamal and Mainoo in kopa trophy voting last year, ahead of Neves, Cubarsi, Garnacho, Tel, Zaire Emery.

16 G/A in a new league as a 21 year old. I think people miss the point that he's a creative winger not a goal scoring inside forward here.

If we hadn't absolutely screwed the squad construction the price could easily be 80-90m.
