The booing of the national anthem is politically motivated. I can understand why the people of Liverpool would do it. I don't feel it needs to be done by everyone.

I don't sing it due to my dislike of Charles. I did sing it when QEII was at the helm.

EDIT.
It is about the establishment. If one can separate footballing rivalries, from just being a human being, concentrate on just being a member of the public, one might understand it more. I feel that a lot of people understand why but they don't go into detail because of the subject matter. I won't either.

I couldnt give a crap what the motivation is, what scousers need to understand is that they ARENT special, you cant do one thing and then cry when exactly the same is done to you thats not how the world works and until you get that through your thick heads, that you are NOT special, you are NOT victims, you have done plenty of reprehensible shit yourselves then quite frankly any explanation, gnashing of teeth or crying can fuck right off.

Liverpool have created a problem for themselves in extending the playing contracts of Van Dijk and Salah. You can bring in players like Guehi in the transfer market but how do you drop such significant players from the squad?

SSN keep telling us what a well run club Liverpool are when it comes to the transfer market but I think they have made a significant mistake.

This. This is why the subject can not be discussed. It is not about being special. It is about people in power and their treatment of the public. When I say the people of Liverpool, I should really have said the people of the UK, I can understand doing it. There will also be people from overseas, I don't get why they would do it.

No, it absolutely can be discussed, it cant be discussed with liverpool fans because of your myopic view of yourselves and how everything you lot do is justified and everything that is done to you is awful and heinous and shouldnt be allowed, until you come down off your faux moral pedestals and take a hard look at yourselves and your own actions then no it can not be discussed with scousers as they dont have capacity to understand.

As far as I am concerned I do not care who the monarch of the day is. I sing the national anthem with pride in support of our country, I am a patriot.

Has it become a form of sect or cult?
They appear to think they are different. It seems to be the case that for many `supporting` LFC is like being part of a sect and one where, like in most cults, insidious influence begins to replace independent, clear thinking. This is suppressed in different ways. Their absence of self awareness knows few bounds.

You can't separate footballing rivalry from the situation. If you can tell me why, anything you just typed, relates to me personally, I'd be most appreciative!

I am talking about incidents, were people in positions of power know about them, orchestrate cover ups and hide their own involvement. There are many many cases were people are dismissed easily and told they are wrong, or they are lying.

Some people will stand up and not let that be the last of it. We've seen peaceful protests. We've seen riots. Booing the national anthem, on a televised event, is just a protest. There were protests at Glastonbury on live tv. It attracts attention and gets people asking questions. City protested against the Champions League anthem.

It must be driving the owners of Newcastle FC crazy. They'll have at their disposal a war chest that would have made the pisscan's look like a catapult and a pee shooter yet they're totally hamstrung by PSR and FFP.
If I was them, I'd just spend and worry about the consequences later, you can't unlive a moment you've witnessed.

100% this.

I have found that the majority of scousers I have had the displeasure to meet over the years have, almost to a man, lived up to the clichèd stereotype the world has always viewed them to be: argumentative, belligerent, and as untrustworthy as Fagin and his band of pickpockets.

Has someone upset you mate ? ;;;)
I prefer him when he's posting pics of the latest developments in the City Centre (aka "Manc-hattan").

;-)

I will always be upset with the Scousers for attacking the City coach. I will never forgive them for doing that. Not ever! :-(

You prefer me posting on any thread, Jim. ;-)

Dijk doesn’t mention Liverpool fans booing the national anthem, and singing about the Queen dieing.

So that’s why you boo the national anthem. It all makes perfect sense now. Brave scousers leading the way in showing the rest of the country what a corrupt establishment controls us.
Which cover ups has the King been involved in? Just so I know.

Really?

Liverpool fans weren’t booing the national anthem in 2006 when England played Uruguay at a full Anfield.

So what happened since 2006 for Liverpool fans to hate the establishment and England, bar when there’s a World Cup on, and they all watch the England games at home and in the city centre pubs and bars.

That is the biggest bunch of bullshit and misdirection to avoid answering a specific point that i have ever seen on here and that is going some, it really is, this is nothing to do with protesting the national anthem, you lot want to do that then fine although i would surmise that the british people would be more than happy to see the back of scousers. This is about your cult of football fans booing one anthem that is well respected amongst football fans and by palace fans and by people who are proud of the country and not worrying about offending those people and then crying foul that people booed during your 5th tribute to the unfortunate jota, you simply cannot have one rule for yourselves and one rule for everyone else as much as you would like that as i said in the first reply you are NOT special.

Based on the Community Shield - Liverpool are solid going forward and in controlling the game. Their defense is a work in progress. If it doesn't shore up, they won't win the league.
