The term "Uncs"

Where did this stupid trashy term come from?

Why has everyone started using it?

RAG behaviour.

youtubber wankstains and roadmen on X.

Half the time its people who are older than the player themselves.

Cringeworthy behaviour.

Couple of City Youtubbers in particular who say it, including LB, that Dapz & Patrick.

Who the fuck calls themselves "Dapz"? Do they introduce themselves as that?

Never heard of it. Then literally as I'm reading this thread, I see it in some Youtube comments referring to Micah Richards as one.

It's up there with all of this cuz, fam, bro bollocks, so I expect we'll be seeing a lot of it on Arsenal Fam TV. I can't called bro in a text from a property agent once. Fuck right off.

my sons 12 and has sudddenly started calling everyone bro.

I'm like shut up, you have two brothers who you don't even call bro (calls them much worse haha)

As I said earlier, it is about tone.
I might call a friend a cu*t. I'd be using it in a completely different way than I would if I found a burglar in my house.
If the word in question was used as a term of reverence to a Mike Summerbee then it may have a place; language develops over time and we use words we wouldn't have used fifty years previous.
It is not being used in that way. It is being used disrespectfully to criticise the older players in the team, and Pep's choices.

Think it may be from the US. Certainly been used for a while to describe older NFL players.

I suspect you are referring to Blues using it to mock players who will go down as legends for the club, then it is disrespectful. Yes, it is a banter term but the way some are using it, is out of order. It makes them look entitled, spoilt morons.

Unc is predominantly a term of endearment used for older men, whilst simultaneously giving them a gentle ribbing about their age.

I get the confusion from people who haven't been exposed to certain cultures where it's commonly used but I do find the outrage about it really funny.
Context is everything. Popular in Aftican culture. Kelechi Iheanacho was even nicknamed ‘Uncle’ by the squad because he looked about 35 when he was a teenager
In this case, however, it is being used pejoratively by spoiled plastic twats who’ll never even see our stadium, to disparage and insult genuine legends of our club
Likewise with the same rabble using Maine Road as an insult
Only used by complete twats
