I've watched seemingly credible posts claiming the Palace wasn't able to comply with regulations due to factors specific to their side... perhaps these posts were bullshit. They absolutely haven’t. The assessment date was 1 March for the following season. At that date John Testor owned shares and was a controlling director at Palace and Lyon. It was three months later that he disposed of the shares in Palace. It is clear cut. The Forest owner put his shares in a trust in February to satisfy the same condition. Palace simply screwed up.
Either way, WTF!?!?
