Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Plenty of people on here accusing Isak of not being loyal because he has a contract etc.

But then you have fans on here who want Guardiola gone from City, after all he has achieved, because we had one poor season.

Fans are just as disloyal as players. When it suits them, they're happy to kick anyone out the door.
Its not about loyalty its about professionalism, you signed the contract and that contract pays out for 5 years, that was his choice to sign it and nobody made him. If he was to be injured for 2 or 3 years he would still get paid, contracts work both ways and a level of professionalism should be expected on both sides.

All these dippers turning a blind eye to Isak being an utter wanker will be crying like babies when he does the same to them in a couple of years when Madrid come knocking for him

My comments were more on a player wanting to leave in general, despite a contract, rather than their behaviour which I agree is poor.

I think players are poor in general now when their lips come out, I agree fans are changing but the bread and butter rank and file like a loan but are overall loyal to each other mate.

I haven't actually heard Savinho say he wants to go and already people want him out for treason almost. Social media these days.

I think the same people who don't see his ability and I can see why that is would be happy to see him go mate, but it hasn't gotten toxic.

I agree, his behaviour is bad and people are right to call him out on it - we've also signed players like Mahrez and Nunez who exhibited similar actions.

I general, in terms of players under contract wanting a move - I have no issue with that.

Clubs and fans want rid of players all the time, so players have just as much right to request a move also.

Again, it is disappointing though when you hear talk of players refusing to play and critique is definitely warranted.

I dont disagree that players have the right to request a move, if that move is respectfully declined because its not in the best interests of the club for whatever reason, the player has no right to then strike, we have signed players who refused to play for their clubs and i wasnt a fan of them when they did it.

Where did I defend his behaviour? I know I have done the opposite of that in multiple posts.

I am just sharing what I heard, a Newcastle podcast type person, talking about the other day.
He won’t have done this of his own accord, hell have known who wanted him and will be acting as instructed. Was it Van Dijk who met Liverpool on the sly in Blackpool?

For those that don't recall. It's happened before AND it will happen again!

and how his career turned out should be a cautionary tale to others. Like someone else said do you think he wont do this to you in 2 years time if RM or Barca come calling, or lpool dont perform as well as he thinks they should.

Can't see how Newcastle can afford to keep him if he's downed tools, i still think he'll be a Liverpool player by the end of the window

just wondering, genuine Q...Do they still have to pay him?......or maybe he manufactures a slih=ght thigh twinge to go in the injury list?

Contractual Obligation:
Football clubs have a contractual obligation to pay players' wages, and this obligation remains even if a player refuses to play, unless there is a valid reason for termination of the contract.

Just how fucking crazy is that?

I believe that the club may fine him. I think 2 weeks wages and then 4 after that. I am unsure on what the criteria for fines are though. Also would the club wish to alienate the player further? Would it then look worse on them?

Scorched earth mate, scorched earth.

Train with the kids for the remainder of his contract if any club can it should be this wealthy lot.
