Jack Grealish - Everton on loan

I still feel like he would have been much better for us if we played him in the middle and no as a winger
Same. For whatever reason (whether it's the rumoured boozing, who knows?) Pep preferred to go with the likes of Gundogan on midfield last season. Who was underwhelming. Anyway, best of luck Jack.

If he has a good season why not? These days it's fuck all, especially for an English player.

It won’t happen even if he has a good season. This is Everton we’re talking about. They don’t spend that much on players and not when they would probably have to pay him £10m a season minimum. It’s too risky for a 30 year old.

Best of luck to him. Hope he does well there.

I watched his first interview with them and he mentioned multiple times about wanting to play without fear. I think that hits the nail on the head - he's had some very good games for us but too often has been just that little bit too tentative, like he was carrying a fear that was holding him back.

Think the Everton fans will love him and he'll hopefully get a bit of his sparkle back.

Wonder if he'll get the same amount of stick from opposition fans now he's not wearing our shirt?
Anyway, good luck to him, and it'll certainly be interesting to see how he performs there, and in what role/position.

I loved Jack playing here. You could tell he was well liked by the other players, which, imo, he had a lot to do with the togetherness in the squad .
He's had a few injuries last season which didn't help, and getting left out of the England squad really upset him.
So,all I can say is thankyou Jack, and good luck at Everton.

They have new owners and have just moved into a larger modern stadium. If Jack does the business they'll pay the money

Give the lad a free rein instead of tying him down to the wing he'll be a totally different player.
Can you really see Moyes doing that? He’ll be stuck in a ln even more rigid system at Everton. Not many teams can accommodate a luxury player who swans around the pitch. And even fewer are willing to let him also go on the piss regularly off the pitch. He’s supposed to be an athlete earning north of £300k a week. The bare minimum should staying off the ale.

Good luck Jack. Pep played you out of position for your entire time here and you didn't complain. Have a feeling he will help Everton take a lot of points off the top teams.
Did he? Pretty sure he plays from the left and always has done...

Some of the mental gymnastics on this thread. Call a spade a spade the guy was whack for the majority of his time here

Any chance of a translation out of gibberish?

If we’re calling a spade a spade then you’re a bell end. Do some research, was left of a central three for Villa. Never a winger.

He comes across as a nice lad, but he needs to get back to playing football.
I've seen him have good games for us but they were few and far between...
I hope he has a good season.

75% of his wages being paid can’t complain to that just think we should’ve got a mandatory buy clause in there if he met certain targets like appearances or goals and assists cause no way are Everton paying 50 mil in a years time

Wishing him all the best.
We may have over paid for him but he was fantastic in our treble winning season so I suppose that nullifies that, you can't put a price on a treble lol.
We'll never know but deep down I think we all know his drinking put a halt to his City career, Pep is not going to tolerate that.

If he can sort himself out then he'll be excellent at Everton, more so with the world cup coming up at the end of the season, I imagine he'll be going all out to get into the England squad.
