Big lump up front.
Goalie who hoofs the ball upfield.

Just what were Pep and Colin Wanker discussing over numerous bottles of vino?

;)

If Eddie goes so be it. Players come and players go thanks for the memories and all that*.

*Unless you're Alan Kernaghan and then fuck right off you useless cnut.

His ability with his feet didn’t seem too much of an impediment for PSG. Can’t remember them having to be too direct, they played out quick and had an in your face press. Things we need.
PSG would often get the ball into the opponents half as quickly as possible and away from the back line, it was their unreal front press that was the star of the show for them.

The few occasions they had to play out from the back, were the times that they had the most trouble. Villa and Arsenal both gave them problems getting out, even we did for 45 minutes or so. Enrique choosing to replace him suggests it's an area they want to improve upon.

I don’t think he was, I reckon we’ve moved because he’s available now and Trafford is left to deal with the consequences
City have been interested in Donnarumma for at least a year. Trafford will have been told.

As has been said already, Eddie is a decent midfielder playing in net. Donnarumma is a world class goalkeeper. If he signs, we win the league.

Donnarumma has the trophies with possession based sides. That addresses the questions about his attributes and MCFC

The SSN presenter (Dan Gosling) on the Transfer Show didn't think he would go to MCFC. They are not well informed. But if they do not know, then perhaps this deal is not as well advanced as we think.

I am over the initial excitement now, and I am more thinking about the difficulties of selling Ederson first, then buying Donnarumma.

Surprised so many are fixated on his limitations with the ball at his feet. Ederson is a complete freak in this regard. No one else comes close.

As a shot stopper, I’m struggling to think of any better than Donnarumma. Maybe only Courtois and Oblak run him close. He’d be a great signing.
We’ve been really successful with Eddie but we are not the only successful team. Other sides across Europe have done just fine, playing out from the back with inferior keepers (with their feet) than Eddie.

I’m yet to see anyone come up with a viable alternative to Donnarumma. Other than the suggestion that Trafford is that guy, once he has had 12 months as understudy to Eddie.

Aka basically telling Gala to give us a serious offer and he’s gone.

Interesting to see which agreement leaks first.

If the Eddie to Galatasary leaks first, it could put us in a vulnerable position to negotiate a lower fee.

But then I suppose we could just point to Trafford and the fact Donnarumma has already said he's going.

Regardless, it'll be a domino effect as soon as one agreement is announced, the other will be I suspect.

If we are replacing 3 keepers with keepers and we still don't know who the number 1 is 3 days before the start of the season that worries me. Eddy number 1 with a backing he knows how to play with while trafford beds in and takes the no 1 next season. That was surely the plan why change it? Is donnaruma really worth the disruption money and time it will take for him to gel with the defence? It could cost us a title shot if we start off poorly.
Because if Trafford doesn’t bed in well and isn’t up to being number 1 we go into next season with just him when Eddie’s contract is up and needing to find another keeper, having let a world class keeper go elsewhere in this window. I imagine that’s the thinking anyway. Maybe Eddie is pushing for a move?
