I don’t see the appeal of going to Galatassaray for Ederson which makes me think it won’t happen. The ole report said he was willing to cut his wages. Why would he take a pay cut and play in a league that is inferior to the PL. Just doesn’t add up
Maybe he wants to sit in the sun eating proper kebabs.

Well Galatasaray appealed to Osimhen as he turned down Saudi and apparently a number of European clubs to play in Turkey. Think Istanbul is attractive to many players and they have plenty of money.

I would be surprised if this happens (Ederson and Donarumma).
The change would mean an almost complete change in our playing style. Trafford (forget the goolies that he is poor with his feet) means a continuation of the play style that has brought so much success.
If we have Pep's successor lined up and he is a Donarumma 'fan' then I get it, but I don't see it.

Galatasaray = CL football, league winners, sun, high standard of living, a beautiful historic city. I suspect all that is appealing to a player who has won everything with one club in one league.

Maybe he just wants a change. And that's the best out there for him.

It has been going all summer. Doubt there is that much smoke without at least a little bit of fire.

I agree. There are many reports that Ederson has agreed personal terms with Galatassaray. Osimhen has signed for them. Leroy Sane has signed.

City said to journalists that our preferred option is to keep Ederson but yesterday, Sky Sports Germany reported that Galatassaray and City are discussing the sale of Ederson through an intermediary. I think a deal could be done for Ederson to move to Gala, and for City to sign Donnarumma but it's not clear that this is our intention.

"High standard of living" hahaha! Just got back from Turkey in the early hours of this morning. Theres a reason players go there and don't last..

Rumors he wasnt in training yesterday?
this will happen by the weekend or it won’t at all imo.

Pep will be asked about it at his press conference that should give some clarity.

If ederson starts on Saturday that will tell us all we need to know

I believe what has been suggested by the club, via one or two journalists.

They would like to keep Ederson for one last year, not actively trying to replace him. This gives Trafford comfort, a chance to clain no.1 then assess the market next year whether there is a need to bring in an established no.1 or a no.2 to trafford. Particularly as there have been no remotely appropriate offers for Ederson, and next year other keepers might be easier to sign (either cheaper or out of contract like Donnarumma).

But if an appropriate offer comes in for Ederson that makes it worth selling and he wants to go, and this aligns with a top keeper becoming available (like donnaruma falling out with psg and wanting out now rather than next year) then they'll react and move eddie on and sign a replacement.

If not, he stays.

This is a situation where there are lots of possible routes open. Effectively we have a map of possibilities and we know the geography and we know the actors. The car is at the traffic lights, the light is amber but which road will the driver take? Unknown.

Poetic.

But yes, that is how I see it too in essence, the dominoes have all been lined up.

Same as with Sav and Rodrygo waiting in the wings.
Agree.

Eddie probably wants to leave. But he can't make Galatasaray make a suitable offer, and won't kick up a fuss after 8 years here. If they don't agree a deal, he stays and moves for free next year. The club seem comfortable with that, but.if things change, they have lined up a replacement on Donnarumma.

Sav probably doesn't want to leave, imho. But he has been made an offer by spurs, and it is tempting. The club have said they don't want to sell him, but won't stand in his way either. Again, all depends on spurs making a suitable offer, which neither sav nor the club can control. If they do, then he can leave and a replacement will be signed. If they don't, he stays and everyone is happy, and we reassess next year.

The rest is all drama for the clicks imo.
