I don’t think this is true I don’t think anyone comes in that pep doesn’t want. I do think this is very likely Peps final season though whatever the end result is. For me it was obvious when he talked about his renewal he said the 2 years was partly because he’s sick of being asked about his contract situation for months. Whenever he leaves City, for this reason imo it will be a year before his contract ends on paper.

Also the speculation from Germany about Wirtz not getting assurances about peps length of stay - i don’t think any player could expect a guarantee of more than 2 years so if true presumably he didn’t get that. Also apparently Ljinders was also told 12 months is all that’s guaranteed.
Pep's current contract is until 2027 mate

Stefan Borson reporting he wants €15mil net, or 400k a week. Fucking ridiculous, massively overrated player, stupid wages and not a massive improvement over what we have.
He's the best shot stopper in the world so it's definitely a massive improvement. Also, we got rid of Grealish. KDB and Walker wages. Potentially Savinho's too.

Not being funny but that is truly horrific goal keeping!
He's a good goalkeeper, he's still young enough to improve, but he starts with a handicap: being compared to Donnarumma every time he concedes a goal, especially in the Champions League.

That's the difficulty for all PSG players; your season is judged solely from February onward, in the round of 16, quarterfinals, and semifinals of the Champions League.

I like Stefan but he won't have a bloody clue about what's being discussed wages wise. Donnarumma was taking a paycut at PSG so I'd take the 400k a week with a pinch of salt.

Genuine question, but I wasn’t aware Stefan was considered to be any sort of authority on our football operations - his expertise and insight have been exceptional in illuminating our legal, regulatory and financial challenges over the last few years in particular as we navigate the successive series of charges we’ve come up against - but I didn’t think he knew anything at all about our transfer dealings.

Has this changed recently?

Stefan is excellent at explaining legal issues but no one is going to have a clue about wages etc and no goalkeeper will ever be on close to that!

If we’re signing a keeper for 50m on a long term contract it absolutely ends his chances of becoming our first choice keeper. Unless donnarumma is terrible, he’s not going to get dropped and he would expect to play in all the big games.

At least with Ederson there is a pathway to the first team.
That's the crux of the situation. Lots packed in that one word in your post.

Home being called dollarumma should be taken care off

Ac Milan fans particularly have lot to say about him

Yea I know that’s what I’m saying. I think whenever he leaves City it will be one year before the end of his contract on paper so that in his final season he doesn’t get constant questions. That’s what he hinted at.

Donnarumma earns €849,500 per month. In France, salaries are calculated monthly.

That works out to: €195,500 (£170,000) per week

PSG offered him €7 million plus €3 million per year in bonuses, a pay in cut of almost 30%, and according to his agent, he was willing to accept because he wanted to stay in Paris.

In Italy, it's reported that he has agreed a deal with City for €12 million per year (£10.33 million), which translates to €230,769 (£198,567) per week.

Here in France, RMC Sport, the most listened-to radio channel that covers football, has a show every Monday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. called "Funny Ladies" that covers football in the four major leagues: Johann Crochet for Italy, Fred Hermel for Spain, Polo Breitner for Germany, and Julien Laurens for England. And every time he talks about City, he talks nonsense and even invents unfounded rumors. Once, it was Pep who didn't like KDB. Pep doesn't respect KDB, the two men don't get along. City will face severe sanctions for cheating in the trial of the century. Pep is finished and has to go. City paid a lot of money for Reijnders (a consultant corrected him and told him it was a very good price given the quality of the player).

Here it is last February when he said that nobody watches City on TV, it is not a team that makes the ratings, it is more Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, the presenter Gilbert Bribois was very surprised and shocked could not believe it

Here is the excerpt from the show:

I had to send a message to the Bluemoon account, the Twitter account of City supporters here in France, to point out the nonsense of the Parisian Arsenal supporter. Anyway, I don't know what he says in England, but here, he is constantly negative about Manchester City.

I didn't know that, thanks. He was always praising City and talking nice at ESPN. Must have been the title races with Assna that rattled him. City is the 3rd most watched English club according to Sky Sports so he can cry about it. Now let's check the viewership of PSG.. oh wow, no one knows they even exist until they reach UCL semis!
Not to mention the fact there are more Marseille fans in Paris than PSG fans lmao

Wonder if PSG would be interested in Ortega as their no.2 once Donnarumma leaves.
