Make sure the deal contains a clause that he must start at right back against us.
He has a full England cap. I suggest an extra £10 million would swing it£30 million is brilliant money for him.
I don’t rate him as a footballer but I don’t think he is stupid. He will know the situation re game-time and if he’s being offered a chance at Forest with no doubt a big pay rise and long-term contract, it will look very attractive to him. Good luck to him.The wording by Gaughan suggests to me that we are not against selling Lewis. I think he is about 5th choice at RB behind Nunes, Stones, Akanji and Khusanov. He isn't in a much better position re: starting in midfield.
If most players stay fit, he will struggle to make the group, let alone start games. Insert a buy back clause. Hopefully he becomes a top player.
In your opinion. Not mine.£30 million is brilliant money for him.
And hopefully a 'can't buy back'Make sure the deal contains a clause that he must start at right back against us.
Another idiot£30 million is brilliant money for him.
it is. too bad we couldnt land a proper rb though.£30 million is brilliant money for him.
really? What do you think his value is. I don’t rate him as a player. His positioning as a right back is dreadful and he makes far too many mistakes. He can be decent going forward yes but nowhere near the level we require. I’d be delighted if we got £30 million for him.Another idiot
He is a very average footballer, who was extremely lucky to have broken through at City. In any normal circumstance, where Cancelo and Walker were in front of him, he would never have played anything more than the odd Carabao Cup game but Cancelo and Walker somehow contrived to be awful/dickheads at the very same time.
Them leaving the club and injuries to others, effectively handed Rico the RB slot on a plate but he has been so dire, he has somehow managed to lose it to a midfielder, who himself had largely been frozen out, because he was no good as a midfielder.
IMO, we have 2 backups fighting for the RB spot and Nunes is the better of them. If £30m+ is offered, we should snap their hands off and go and buy a 1st choice RB.

Wasn't disputing the bid, more the suggestion we are open to selling him. Don't see a scenario where thats the case. Its effectively doing nothing but cutting the potential squad size by 1 and losing a player Pep does actually use.Someone mentioned In the transfer forum that Lewis had an offer from Forest the other day. Inside info, so it looks genuine.
