Endless articles now by the BBC desperate to get people to like Rooney because they have signed him up as some sort of "expert" when in reality he is a clueless failed manager who really should have been left to eat chips & crisps and hang around old folks homes.

He says he got no GCSE’s but educated himself at the Rags in Black History and Religion so he could communicate with his team mates.

He really is a complete moron.

Thanks for this helpful info. Helpful because I saw that he had educated himself, but couldn't be bothered reading the entire article to find out what in, or to what level. I'd like to see him suffer on Celebrity Mastermind on either of those subjects.

The Italian fans ...who watched him play.loved him.

I think they appreciated the grit and determination of a man who battled back from a career threatening knee injury.Italian fans do not idolize" complete failures"
Many top footballers do not come back from such serious knee injuries.Colin Bell and Paul Lake spring to mind...

To switch countries and to have whole stadium chanting your name...is quite an achievement,imo

Did " Gazza Gascgoine" as the Italian Lazio fans christened him love him..yes.

Looking back at his time in Italy there are a lack of title wins.amd further injury problems.

But when an entire arena is singing the name of a foreign player with the balls to try football in their country,that's not a complete failure pal.

By comparison, look back at Uwe Roslers career at City after leaving Dresden
I remember being at Hillsborough last day of the season and we sang his name loud and proud ALL MATCH.....would you say Roslers City career was a " total failure " because he didn't win anything?

Gazza was one of the best Midfield players I've ever seen play the game and the entertainment he brought me when playing ,for whichever club, including England will never be forgotten.

It's easy to sit on the Internet and lazily look back and say complete failure...
Instead....perhaps feel the heat the noise and the passion when fans show their love for a player with guts.
Have you ever gone to a different country and made an impression ?

I had the misfortune of hearing about 3 mins of his podcast on 5 Live when I got in the car - in that short space of time he mentioned the GPC, Cuntona and Moyes - its just going to be All Our Yesterdays.

As for MoTD its now pointless - not because he is on it but because all the match highlights are on the iPlayer from 8pm anyway - and its just the highlights with no fucking pointless waffle and "opinion"

as I said above all the highlights are on the iPlayer from 8pm and also on the 5Live app they now have 5Live Sports plus Sports Xtra 1,2,&3 to give audio cover. Plus you can get stuff free and easy on YT, X and so on. Would be interested to see how long Rooneys contract is coz its smacks of the BBC engineering falling viewing figures in order to cancel the show.
