Yeah you’re right 5000-1 so why are the rags being talked about for top four. History tells us it doesn’t happen from 15th.
The rags are currently 28-1 to win the league.
Howard Webb says its not worth his career to lump on at those odds.
Richard Masters has already apologised to him and others for lumping on when they were 5000-1 therefore forcing the bookies to cut the odds.

Like I said no team has ever done it in the Premier League era, there were 22 teams in the league as apposed to 20. 38 games to finish 4th from 15th has never been done. Going back to the 60s for an example of when it has been done shows what a task they have.
Ok...so lets skip the ignore the 60s and look at the late 70s...

Nottm forest went from finishing 2nd in the old 2nd division ...to winning the 1st division the very next season.
I know you keep saying 'premier league era' but there really wasn't that much difference between old and new league and you are ignoring the miracle that was forests superb achievement

And..
Forests achievement was, imo.more credible as they didn't sack their manager from the previous season....go virtually all summer /pre season without a manager ,and then at the last minute appoint a manager who in his previous 3 decade long managerial career had never, ever won a league title, and not did he ever do it again after taking Leicester to win it by 10 CLEAR POINTS ..
Their title win does not stand up to scrutiny on any fucking level ....I mean forest had one of the world's best managers and goal keepers...who the fuck did Leicester City have ?

do you see where I'm going here ? ; )..and yes I'm still angry about it

A draw here would be ideal: Arse dropping points because we need them to and the Rags dropping points because we want them to.
Not for me
Never want the raggies to win anything unless it directly affects us, this doesn’t.
Let the Tarquins win 1-0 then we have 37 games to keep them at bay.

You have a point no midweek football, but I’d rather have midweek football as it can be good as you build a rhythm and momentum as the season progresses playing every 3-4 days instead of stop start one game a week..
It's hard to keep everyone happy with no midweek football too, as there will be quite a few players not getting regular minutes. Still think they'll probably finish in the top six though, and can see them getting a result against Arsenal today.

Have they or anyone connected to club not noticed that they have no midfielders? They’ve bought 3 decent forwards but what’s the point if you’ve got Casemiro & Ugarte in midfield?
I suspect the plan may be to hoof it over the top all season, never get called offside and any attempt by the opposition to tackle the forwards will result in a dive/free kick/penalty.

I don't think having no midweek football will be the boon some Raggies claim it will.

Yes, they won't be as tired, but they'll also not be as sharp or have had as much gametime to improve.
Lurching week to week, game to game, especially on the back of a defeat, means the defeat lingers longer in the mind. Normally, if the Scum lost their PL fixture, they could perk themselves up with a nice 1-0 win over FC Oogivsafek and have the press chirping on about them 'turning a corner'

Now, defeat will follow defeat and that will play havoc with squad morale.
