I see where you're coming from about Hart but tbh I don't think Hart was even that good. How good can a keeper be if everyone knows he has a weakness diving to his left?

Ederson is unusual, but I find the way he's being talked down on here incredibly ungrateful and disrespectful. We have been unbelievably lucky to have him and he is far and away the most decorated goalkeeper in the history of the club. Without him we don't win the only European Cup in our history. It's an absolute joke the way people are talking about him.

This is a classic example of saying something often enough, and it becomes the truth. File it with "John Stones is only fit for England" and "it was Martin Tyler who said stupendous".
 
He is a city legend and would be happy if he stays but his standards in my honest opinion have dropped dramatically these last two seasons I used to argue that eddy was the best in the league a few years ago, he should be coming into his peak but he is declining if he stays I think Trafford will be first choice at the end of the season, hope eddy signs an extension and proves me wrong.
 
He's been here 8 years and I can't recall 1 world class save. He was excellent in the CL final but the amount of times an opposition team scores with their first shot on target is a joke.

I called him Eddy Jazz Hands years ago as he waves his hands Al Jolson style but never in the direction of the ball coming at him
 
very few players get a way of playing a position named after them.

But we know what the Makalea position is.

I think Ederson has achieved that, if someone wanted a keeper very accustomed with their feet, you would say an Ederson style of keeper.

He is the best one playing that way and has brought that style of GK’ing to be paramount with success!!

It's time for Eddie to go, but I'm sad. He's not my favourite City keeper (Joe Hart forever, for me) but our most decorated and arguably the best we've ever had. Ice in his veins, absolutely essential to our style, a City legend.

He may not want to be at City, but he has been epic for us. He redefined the necessity of goalkeepers being solid on their feet. And his distribution is very good. But sometimes he does lose himself out there in terms of his positioning. Does he want to be here? probably not. Has he endured alot of unnecessary crap? Yeah and that's probably contributed to him wanting to leave. But he's been immense for us. If we get Donnarumma we get a worldie shot stopper but not so good with his feet.

After Saturday I'm happy to go with Trafford. He was commanding and is a brilliant shot stopper. Pretty good with that long pass as well.
And he's English and young.
He can be really really good for us.
