We have absolutely zero leverage here. It’s 11m profit and giving probably our best ever keeper what he wantsWhat the fuck is €11m?? With such a low ball offer the simple reply from City should be ‘do one you cheeky cunts’
That’s like another club offering £20m for Riinders.
How well did they play in the champions league final ?Swift; Trautman; plus Joe Hart and Joe Corrigan push Eddy down to number 5.
But early to call Trafford our best ever keeper mate.We have absolutely zero leverage here. It’s 11m profit and giving probably our best ever keeper what he wants
That’s like saying Kalvin Phillips is better than Bernarbia. How well did they play in the champions league final ?
Average is a bit unfair due to the way Pep has his defenders on the halfway lineSpot on , Ederson is an average goalkeeper but marvellous with his feet and a huge part of our success.
It is a bit galling when you look at the wider transfer market. From what I understand, foreign clubs can enter pre-contract discussions with Premier League players in the January window if their contracts are in the last 6 months of their existence. This happened with Alexander Arnold and Real Madrid. It didn't seem to effect Liverpool but I think it explains why the fee under discussion is so low. What the fuck is €11m?? Agreed, comparing modern goalkeepers to those of the past is a fool's errand; it's almost an entirely new position, and Pep is primarily responsible for that.I'd add that you can't really compare say, Swift or Trautman to Eddy due to the different requirements needed today. Joe Hart was brilliant for us but he was old enough to be on the cusp of when the goalies needed strengths started to change (and not just for us).
Hardly worth dignifying with a response, but in case you're being serious, remember Hart in the Nou Camp keeping out Messi and Co at their best? Trautman winning a cup final, playing on with a broken neck? Corrigan; from a clown to a hero and fantastic for us for a decade - capped for England when Clemence and Shilton were in their prime - and all with much lesser teams in front of them. I rely on what my dad told me about Frank Swift. How well did they play in the champions league final ?
True, can you imagine being a keeper today and the light ball behaves like a fucking balloon after someone's kicked it haAgreed, comparing modern goalkeepers to those of the past is a fool's errand; it's almost an entirely new position, and Pep is primarily responsible for that.
I did name my youngest after him and he's 6 now. I will miss him if he leaves but if he wants to go he leaves with my best wishesHas anyone checked on @bobmcfc in the middle of all this?
I feel it's akin to a 24/7 watch on @Eccles Blue if Stones was to be off
Rico is going? We'll 1 million % need a replacement RBNot just him mate, his wife also arranging goodbyes.
He will be gone, as will Rico and Savinho.
About £110m in total.
Rico is going?
Ederson is the equivalent of Pep or Sacchi as a goalkeeper. He changed the role and tactics of the position. He has also done a fine job of it as one of the most decorated keepers in history.Hardly worth dignifying with a response, but in case you're being serious, remember Hart in the Nou Camp keeping out Messi and Co at their best? Nothing against Ederson - he was great in Istanbul, and has a great left foot. To suggest he's our greatest ever goalkeeper - which was the comment I was responding to - is something I'd expect off one of his relatives, not a dyed-in-the-wool City fan.

Are you allowed to let them leave at only six years old?I did name my youngest after him and he's 6 now. I will miss him if he leaves but if he wants to go he leaves with my best wishes
He does have a better team in front of him but he’s won more than that put togetherHardly worth dignifying with a response, but in case you're being serious, remember Hart in the Nou Camp keeping out Messi and Co at their best?
