Ok, so I was driving from Manchester to Scotland and had their commentary on the radio, with Clinton Morrison summarising with Conor McNamara I think.
Morrison is clearly a United fan, from his comments, and McNamara was so excitable that it was difficult to get a proper impression of the game. But from their comments alone, it sounded like Arsenals defence isn't quite as strong as Fort Knox this year, and they were desperately hanging on for a win. Some of their stars forgot to shine and they sounded distinctly average.
United sounded as though they played with more attacking intent than last season, but they missed a hatful of chances and were unlucky not to get a point. They had a number of desperate attempts to win penalties towards the end, which even Hooper wasn't convinced by. Their wonderkids from last season are merely players now, but are all a year older.
Early prediction based on today - United should improve their position and might finish top half, Arsenal to finish below first, probably below second too.
