Trump will come around to Europe's way of thinking
Trump will agree and tell Putin that he must immediately agree to a ceasefire within 48hrs "or else"
Zelensky will agree and abide by the ceasefire
Putin will create a falseflag attack and Trump will fall for it
Trump has an exit route without losing too much face

The dilemma should be how do they deal with all these "uninvited" guests - in reality its Trump, his ego and his woeful advisers who I suspect will try to sideline the delegation to claim they won some sort of victory.

Yeah. The Alaska summit told us everything. Trump copied down Putin’s demands and he will rely then to Ukraine and the rest of Europe. But even Trump knows they are unlikely to fly as evidenced by his subdued demeanour after the summit.

Europe is turning up mob handed because Ukraine’s fight is Europe’s fight. Whether they can keep Trump in the game and supplying weapons remains to be seen. There will be nauseating levels of flattery, but if that’s the price then so be it.

Will the coalition of the willing hold and will Europe accelerate its decoupling from the US? I like to think European leaders aren’t turning up just to roll over - might as well stay at home if that’s the case. I can maybe see Ukraine slow playing the terms/demands ‘take them back to study/liaise with colleagues and Parliament’ yada yada just to buy time and keep Trump onside, but ultimately Ukraine and the rest of Europe are alone in this fight and everyone knows it.
