Liverpool lack defensive and forward depth.
Arsenal lack options in attack.
Chelsea have poor keepers.
They all have weaknesses. We have a better squad on paper than any of them. The question is can the likes of Rodri, Stones, Ake, Foden etc. remain fit.

So we must have valued him at around £50m which is probably reasonable. £80m is a joke and I’m pleased we didn’t contemplate that.

I agree 80 is a big fee. Unfortunately we cost them around 40 so wasn’t ever going to get him for 50.

Would have been a great signing, still not signed that new contract though…

Because it will just cause issues, you have a young English Keeper that is not far from being the England #1 with a good season behind him and do you really think he has been talked into coming back to be the #2?

Possibly the season and then repalce Eddie, not to sit behind a guy that is still only 26yo and could play for 10 more seasons

We have the supposed #1 keeper available to buy cheap but on outrageous wages and he most certainly does not want to be a #2

Trafford is 22yo and imo ready for the step up, like Donnarumma was when he got his chance at AC, though I guess there will have been plenty Milan fans wailing at the age of him and his lack of experience at the top level.

Romano just dropped we wanted him in the summer on a free.

Trafford would have had to compete with Eddie this year and then Donna next year if that was the plan.

Maybe Trafford knew he was coming in and would have to compete. If it makes him a better player there is still no reason why he can’t cement himself as number one.

Why? No one else is even being reported in being interested.

Bearing in mind his stature in the game id say that means he wants, for now, City. Otherwise someone else would be asking even if it was Saudi!

Maybe but we don’t t really know what’s going on the background either. It just wouldn’t surprise me to see him end up at the rags or Chelsea.

Well if City do not accept Gala's bid for Ederson, then clubs like Man Utd are likely to make offers to PSG. You can absolutely rule Chelsea out though. They need to balance the books and will be selling players.
