Is Kovacic not out until October? Not likely anyone will come in for him this window if so? He also of course one assumes will be unavailable for selection for the first 2 or 3 months of the season. I would be surprised if all 3 of Lewis, Nunes and Akanji are still here in 2 weeks with the latter most likely to go unless a big bid comes in for Lewis. The keeper situation will resolve itself in the coming days I suspect. Savinho I think will go which will likely open up the possibility of either a direct replacement or a massive bid for a RB. Interesting couple of weeks ahead on and off the pitch.
 
Ederson looks likely to leave unfortunately but I hope Lewis and Savinho stay.

I think we might see Gundogan and Akanji leave though.
 
Thought it was telling on Saturday of who played and who came on and, more importantly, who didn't.
Lewis and Stones both started and we're replaced by Nunes and Khusanov. In midfield, O'Reilly came on.

Suspect that's good news for all of them and a message to Ake, Akanji and Gundogan, especially the first two in a World Cup year and with Gvardiol to return.

One of the keepers probably won’t make the bench. Don’t need 2 keepers.
 
My hunch is that Doku and Akanji might be off
I hope Kovecic goes
Ederson and Savio look nailed on to leave
 
I think a few youngsters will move on as well as we don’t have the space in the EDS as well.

I’d expect the following to all go either on loan or permanently:

Both played through pain when we were in crisis, both are reliable and excellent when fit. Both are homegrown and popular with management and fans alike, and you want one or both to go? That would be madness for me. Ake might not be first choice every week when Dias, Ait Nouri and Gvardiol are all fit, but Gvardiol is really a centre back, so those four are pretty solid on the left side of central defence and can rotate to some extent. My concern is at right back, Nunes seemed good at the end of the season and Rico can do a job, but if Lewis was to go we would need to mould Khusanov to play right back, apart from that mistake in the first few minutes of his debut, I think he could be moulded into a decent right back. Along with Johnny I don’t see a problem when Pep finds the right mix, but for me Akanji would fetch a decent fee if none of the above want to leave.

Brazilian source saying Savinho is staying is fake. Same guy who said Neymar is staying at Barca only for him to leave for PSG 10 days later. After 1 hour nobody is even acknowledging it except him. He also didn't even make a post about, only mentioned it in his IG story.
 
Now Savinho's staying and Rodrygo isn't coming in, assuming Donnarumma is coming in and Ederson is going, that the best case is something like this

OUT: Ederson, Ortega, Akanji, Gundogan, Kovacic
LOAN: Echeverri, Npyan

Whether we manage to move those guys off our books remains to be seen though
 
At this point I think we’re nearly there in terms of outgoings, at least for the first team squad. Echeverri is off to Leverkusen. Looking like Akanji is off, possibly to Turkey but seeing is believing with Turkish clubs.

If Ortega gets a move, wouldn’t be surprised if it was to Girona, then we have our 17 foreign players, I think.

If Ederson does actually leave then it looks like Donarumma joins as one in one out.

Looking less likely Savinho goes anywhere at the moment but let’s see what happens after Saturday.
 
It makes sense that at a minimum one of Ederson/ Ortega leave and also Savinho to:

1 reduce the foreign player numbers
2 lower overall squad size to numbers Pep feels happy with
3 ensure we are not overloaded in GK and RW positions

Others may also have to go but will be tougher to move on including Gundogan, Nunes, Kovacic

I wouldn't read to much into those substitutions as the game was done and dusted lets see who comes on Saturday if the game is still in the melting pot. However, one tends to think at least one of that trio will leave over the next two weeks.

Obviously depends on someone wanting them, but I felt it was a message to them, along with things Pep has said, that they're not going to play a lot this season. Might not be an issue for Gundogan at his age, and probably what he was expecting last season, but Akanji in particular must read the room and decide what he wants. Might be that due to the depth of Swiss players, he'd get a place regardless, but you'd hope he'd be wanting to play.

We've got 2 actual RWs though, Bobb and Savinho.

Phil and Cherki looked more set to play as 10s or at least very advanced 8s.

If Sav goes we need Rodrygo, no doubt.
