Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

It's not clear at all mate. Naming a price that Liverpool can't pay is not the same as willing to sell. It's the opposite mate.
Liverpool paid 116m for a player this year, they absolutely CAN pay that price if they want the player, they may not want to but there is a big difference between cant and wont.

They can't pay it, taken the wider context. It would be suicidal from a PR point of view.

Nominally, they can do it. We can pay 150m for Livramento as well. But we can't do it for different reasons.

Maybe the Newcastle fans could borrow a couple of those who had a quick word with Slippy when he was fucking off to Chelsea, they could pop round Isaks house for a quick chat and all is sorted then

more likely he realises that hes made himself look like an entitled **** and hes trying to garner some sympathy and thus has made himself look like even more of an entitled ****.
Certainly coming across as needing better advisors. I see there's claims that Julian Alvarez's advisors think they made a mistake letting him go to Atletico Madrid. Along with Isak & Wissa (and others?) it's been quite a ride this summer's transfer window when it was looking quite at one stage.

Newcastle should have told isak yes you can go for the fee we want!
They did. They openly named the fee. Liverpool think it is too high. He is worried it prices him out of the move. That much has been said.

In what world can't liverpool pay up to 150m. Heck they already offered 120m, so it is not like they are now that far off.

Contrast that to when they refused to sell Salah to saudi. There was no naming of the price, he was simply just 'not for sale'. Naming a price is literally putting him up for sale, by definition.

An indecent proposal you could say ;)

So thats wont pay it, not cant pay it isnt it?

Surely they have to hit a PSR limit at some point?
They have had their pet idiots in the press and even masters telling anyone who would listen this year how well run they are and they could easily spend 500m this year and still be fine with PSR and now it has bitten them on the ass.

It's not that simple. Naming a 150m price is a smart move by Newcastle. They know Liverpool can't pay it for non-financial reasons.

Again: theoretically, we can we pay 150m for Livramento. All day. But, practically, we can't. Doesn't make sense.

So he’ll fit right in at Liverpool, has the victim card down to a tee already.

You really arent understanding the difference between cant and wont are you.

I can’t wait for him to throw his toys at the pram when Madrid or Barca come sniffing. That’s if Newcastle let him go there.

Watch him cry again.

Why would you spend 100m on that?

Let’s use Jack as an example, I know he didn’t live up to the price tag on the pitch but you couldn’t fault his mentality one bit and for me that matters when spending big.

You really don't understand the role of context, the difference between using modal verbs in theoretical and practical contexts.

Nominally, City can pay 150m for Livramento, practically they can't do it. I'm talking about what Liverpool can do in practical terms.
