Doku has two/three players on him similar to why Grealish is often fouled, why Neymar was also kicked about, they invite it on, they hold the ball and deliberately invite the player on.

In Doku's case he's a slow as child on the Happy Foundation bus when he gets the ball 99 times out of a hundred and the defenders have all the time in the world to get over and when they do, he holds on to it for an age before knocking it back and trying that shitty rollback.

It's not all Haaland's fault like you like to claim that he doesn't run to the near post etc. Maybe he would if he thought Doku would go at his man and cross it more often than not.

Nothing against the player etc. but it would send a HUGE message to players don’t hang your hat on Liverpool.

Maybe/ almost certainly someone will correct me on this, but when players do this inevitably the club encouraging them don’t leave them hanging.

It might not always be in the same window, but they either pay the rate, or get for a slightly better price in the next window or following summer one.

If Liverpool were to not got Isak and Newcastle don’t accept, it would be a warning sign for all.

Unfortunately, I think Liverpool know this as well and regardless of encouragement etc. I expect Liverpool to put in an offer around £125-30 million after the game at St James.

This will serve 2 purposes 1 potentially get the player they want, but failing that communicate to the outside world the deal did not fail because of us.

This Rodrygo business probably suits them more as it would be good to show Newcastle alternatives, the fans have turned on the player and will let it be shown on Monday. I’m not convinced that Newcastle will want Liverpool to move on as if the players have as well, he’s going to be tough to have back in the team.

Probably suits Isak as well that he won’t have to play at St James for Liverpool. Let’s hope for a cup draw.

Doku is most likely the first ISOLATION player I’ve seen where players move away on purpose for him to do what he has to do.
I am 100% sure he would explode for Chelsea as an example.

I swear some of our fans need to delete Twitter, touch some grass, and maybe even try supporting the club for once. The Rodrygo saga? If he wants to stay at Madrid, fine. If he fancies swapping paella for pies, also fine. Either way, life goes on.

Savinho’s a player. End of. The fact some of our lot are hounding him on social media like he’s stolen their lunch money is embarrassing. These are the same "fans" who probably couldn’t name our pre-takeover left-back if their Wifi depended on it. Spoilt clowns, obsessed with shiny new toys.

Sav’s metrics speak for themselves, he creates, he assists, he dribbles, he progresses the ball well. The only thing he doesn’t do yet is score goals. Crack that nut and he’s dining at the top winger table with the big boys.

Rodrygo comes? Fantastic. He doesn’t? Fantastic. It’s a win-win. Same with Donnarumma, either he signs or Trafford gets the gloves more often, and I’m buzzing with that to be honest.

If the transfer window shut tomorrow and we signed nobody, I’d still be happy. But some of our fans act like they’ll combust if we don’t buy at least one player a week. “Oooh Isak to Liverpool, ooooh Eze to Arsenal” and? Couldn’t care less if they signed Messi's nan.

To be fair, I like him but first and foremost Doku doesn’t strike or pass a ball particularly cleanly. If he improved in his decision making then he would improve his output to an extent. He’s a threat for us off the bench against a tired defence or against poor teams but imo in terms of his ceiling he won’t even reach peak Sterling levels, which was a level or 2 below the very top.

Doku's has an immense talent to beat a player but often frustrates because he will beat a man and then there is no result. But why can't he improve? Great players don't descend out of the sky they develop. See KDB and Salah.

The points about Doku being shut down by heavy defending stand. He is relentlessly double marked but the re-emergence of Bobb will help him. Doku has a very high potential and is not the finished product.

You have a point, however thats why i dont think Doku or Savinho will ever work for us. Not in an era we control games and teams have two banks of four behind the ball anyway
