Statement from fan groups ahead of new season

It’s very much a case of the club owning the season ticket and loaning it out to its fans for the right price. Terms and conditions apply. Even though it’s in your name don’t ever think it’s yours to keep cos they can whip it off you any time you breech the rules. It’s pretty obvious there’s no goodwill at all. It’s no wonder season ticket holders are fed up with the way they are being treated cos they know they are being screwed over by the club they love.
It’s hard to accept that the club doesn’t reciprocate that love. But the truth is they don’t.

To be fair to @Tim of the Oak it was me who asked about the OSC. Yes Tim replied, as I expected because I think he probably thought it was a dig at the OSC and he always jumps to their defence.
I asked because we never seem to hear the OSC when you are ‘confronting’ the club and I wondered why they weren’t included in the statement.

I should clarify that, after many seasons as an OSC member I am so annoyed with them (over other issues) that I resigned late last season and unless I can form a branch with 1 member I won’t be rejoining! :-(
Thanks Sheila.
I know you are top, passionate Blue.

The OSC get things wrong and get things right.

I’ve supported City all my life and literally had to fight my way through school in Stretford, at times. The odd bully on this forum doesn’t put me off. Like you, I will be loud and proud on Saturday.

Come on City.

Tim

I get bullied all of the time but it's worth sticking with it :)

Nope, I read and re-read this very carefully. You, in person, have to attend ten games, not sixteen (obviously you can attend more). For sixteen games, your seat has to be occupied, either by you transferring it to friends and family, or by you putting it on the exchange.
The one that I'm wondering about having had a similar deep read of the T&C's is whether a ticket transferred to a "friend" has to be used to count. So if for example you were not sure whether you could make a game could you transfer it to a "friend's" account that might not get used if the "friend" didn't turn up? It won't help with the 10 game rule, but would with the 16. Obviously the "friend" would need to be added to the non-member's list on your account, but it might keep the ticket available if you were in the end able to use it

Season ticket download limit, twice per season. WTF is that all about? My dad accidentally deleted his during a phone data transfer, so just re-downloaded it. Suppose he loses the phone or it's stolen I take it he's fucked?

That was absolutely and exactly my problem. Hence, with a heavy heart, I was one of those who gave up my season ticket. Now I've just got matchday membership. I had family and friends who I could transfer to, and that seat was never empty. It was occupied by good, lifelong blues too. Not tourists making a quick visit to Anfield, the Etihad, the Emirates on a package tour from South Korea (or wherever).
What I would like to know is this — to anyone's knowledge, have any new season tickets been released to people who've been on the waiting list for several years? It would console me a little bit if I knew that my seat had gone to a good blue. If it's basically gone to Viagogo then that deeply pisses me off.

As for facial recognition — if that is implemented, I'm out. For good. I shan't be going back to the Etihad. I deeply and intensely object to the very principle of it. Anywhere, and for whatever reason. What kind of society are we going towards?
There were quite a number of flexi gold season tickets issued this season to those who’d attended a certain number of matches last season. So hopefully your seat has gone to a true blue.

I think they’ll be sympathetic to that. I used up my download limit last year when I changed phones and they just sent me a new link. I think if you’re ringing them every month, they might think you’re downloading it to multiple phones.

Hard to call on that one. On one hand, it’s not your fault if they can’t make it. On the other there could never have been any intention that they go, but it saves your ticket being taken off you.

Having talked to disgruntled United fans in the past and how they’ve been treated I can see how they fell out with their own club and don’t go anymore. I’m going to get a burner phone for the league and I could well bin the cup schemes after this season, all the hopes you have to jump through to list or attend it’s getting ridiculous. When this new stand gets built they are going to get embarrassed when there’s no fucker in it. I’d suggest no one switches to it and you’ll have an empty stand they can’t hide on tv for some dead rubber games. I know that won’t happen but I can but dream, the owners think we are bigger than we are but Burnley and Sheff United games last few seasons showed that people are skint and it’s only going to get worse, read the fucking room City.

I reckon there will be thousands in the new stand. East Stand Level 3 and Colin Bell Level3 could well be half empty.

Or half full ;), but ye I get what you mean, I’d have switched from SSL3 if they prices had been comparable but they won’t be, rumour is they’ll be £800 I pay £450! Purely from the fact I leave to get the bus that side so it would help with getting out.

Wait until early 2026 and see how many rules they enforce when there are an additional 8,000 seats to fill.
Yes funny that isn’t it. When we have an early round of the FA cup I get offered an extra 3 tickets. Last season I got a ticket for my wife to the Salford and Plymouth games and very close to where I sit.

For mid-week games and early rounds of the two domestic cups they will be desperate to sell tickets.

They have lost the plot with regards to respecting long term loyal fans.

Suspect this will be my last as a season ticket holder.

Lad is at uni and unlikely to make 10 games. I've loaded his ticket to my phone and will try and find a way to get him to 10 by taking others, but I'm basically having to think of ways to cheat the system, when all I want to do is pay for his season ticket, sell the games he can't make back to the club (who then sells the seat at a higher price) and then he'll have his season ticket available when he finishes uni and potentially gets a well paid job and wants to go to lots of games. Instead, I suspect he'll lose it, meaning he probably won't bother going when he finishes the course as he'll have got out of the habit. And if they won't renew his, they can do one for mine, which I suspect is what they want all along as that's two seats they can sell for a premium price to fans who'll also want to visit the shop, do the tour and whatever experiences the new City square can charge them for.
Either PM me and give me first dibs on your lads card or put ticket on ticket thread. Sorted.
