West Ham 2025/26

Southgate led us to semi finals and finals and has one of the highest win % ever for England. there's no comparison!

He won 7/23 against top 10 teams. He was incredibly lucky with the draws but he’s probably on a par. It would be like judging Potter in the FA Cup playing lower league opposition before succumbing to a decent team in the latter rounds.

It’s going to be a long, hard season for West Ham.

I don’t think Potter will be in East London for very much longer.
Potter's mistake was made a couple of seasons ago when the good results at Brighton inflated his ego to th extent he thought he could manage a club like Chelsea. We all know how that panned out - set him on the road to eventual obscurity through continued sacking by middle of the road clubs.

This hasn`t aged well has it. ;)
Haha. No it hasn’t aged well, and WHU have been utterly dire thus far. They do seem to sign some awful players for decent money, and a lot of their transfer business seems to involve the same agents time and again, which is concerning. All that said, it’s only two games in, and I still can’t see them going down. Although decent starts by Leeds and Sunderland will have them a bit worried.

Thier next league game is Forrest away, they will likely lose then be 3 games with no points

However, I don’t think they’ll go down. They will take action I.e sack the manager or buy players(maybe both) and just stay up. Then rinse repeat for them

I am disappointed in Potter but he isn’t helped by the lack of good players

No chance on earth.

Likes of Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko are completely different class to what we have.

Bowen looks brilliant, but is there anyone else?
Your team looks old and slow - is it the get progressive manager in, sack him for a ‘safe pair of hands’ cycle finally biting you on the arse??

Potter's career is over, no Premier league will touch him after he's sacked at West Ham

He’s done nothing since he left Brighton. Once considered a candidate for England. No longer. Wham looked chaotic vs Chelsea.

Which is a pity as Brighton played some wonderful football under his reign but things have gone completely pear shaped for him. Shame because I do like the guy, but the writing could be on the wall if his next game ends in disaster.

As a shock no no one but the deluded Hammers, binning their most successful manager in recent history solved nothing. They got everything they asked for, and nothing that they wanted.

And they'll do it again with whoever they bring in to save them once they abandon the Potter experiment.

Many clubs not just WH work on the Charlton Athletic principle.

Being useless is a major asset to getting the England job isn't it ??

We didn’t bin Moyes

Agree with the overall sentiment, we’re shite. However we’ve had a good 4/5 years under Moyes, consecutive European football and a trophy - it hasn’t all been doom and gloom as many hammers are making out.

Also, on that call, Potts is bang average and won’t do anything either.
