A farewell, and a new chant from the PSG Ultras, if he signs for City?
Meh.
Happens to me every time I walk in the Claremont.

Unhealthy levels of pessimism and paranoia that fella. They are being linked with the lad from Belgium and no serious links to Donnarumma since they distanced themselves the other week. If he goes there, he goes there. It's really not worth worrying about, we can only control what we can control. The rags will be all over this now, the only way he comes here is if both Ederson and Ortega leave. Heard nothing about any interest in Ortega
Probably at Chelsea next season ;)I know it's been asked but where does this leave Trafford if it does happen? Will we just have imported a reluctant number 2?
Do you feel like a higher level of competition more regularly will help? It’s not like he can’t do it, he does it on the big stage.Still really iffy on this transfer. Big name and will likely command big wages. However, I do feel his CL form this past season has overshadowed how average he's largely been at PSG.
Fuck meAwesome sighing for Man U if he goes. By far their best keeper in it years and years. Definitely since Sir Alex was manager.
Problem is that even if was their new Van Der Sar, they still haven't got the likes of Giggsy, Scholesy etc..
So I dont think they'll suddenly jump up a few levels because he's in goal. Certainly a big improvement nonetheless.
For someone who knows fuck all as to how we are run and operate, you don't half try to think you doHorrible takes that I strongly disagree with. Our current board is definitely not causing any envy among rivals, we unfortunately do buy 'substandard players to fill holes'. None of the players you mentioned are right backs and they will get destroyed when facing the actual right backs like they already did last season vs PSG, Arsenal, Liverpool and Madrid. I bet you laughed at 'melodramatic' posts from a year ago too when we didn't reinforce our squad and guess what happened? Our rebuild is only 50% complete at best and will take us at least another Summer to complete it. Considering our current board is fine with missing out on players that would improve us because of 5-10mil differences it might even take 2 more Summers to fully rebuild. Our Guardiola era is closer to an end than the beginning and I don't want us to spend that time trying to rebuild over the course of 3 years. We seem to be behind Liverpool, PSG and Arsenal power level despite our 'rebuild' because we haven't fully rebuilt. They are being ruthless with their targets, while we are waiting for all the stars to align to maybe go after someone we need. I'm sorry but I don't like this attitude at all. You think PSG would wait to first get rid of their 32yo GK in order to get the GK that's better? They bought their target and now they have all the time in a world to get rid of the one they don't want. Arsenal finalized a deal for a top winger they wanted in less than 24 hours and are still trying to snatch another one who's equally good despite already having good attacking options while we don't know whether or not we should keep ours (who isn't on a level of their best wingers), sell him and if so who should we replace him with for the past 10 days.
Liverpool and Chelsea have splashed more money than us and are still pushing to get few more great players before the end of this transfer window.
We need those players as much as they do (because we're also rebuilding) but are acting like we are broke ffs.
Our new slogan seems to be: 'If we can't get our targets for a bargain, the alternative is.. nothing.'
Last season, Arsenal outpaced us because we went for the pure profit but no reinforcement. If this season Chelsea somehow does it too I think it might be time for us to start asking questions about the direction of our 'rebuild' since in that case it'll be obvious that we're being one step behind, and that's definitely something to worry about.
I am very worried about the next season if things stay the same and should probably take a small break from this forum because here everyone thinks we are fully ready and have negligible flaws. I'll admit you guys have much more optimism than me. Maybe I should find some for myself. It's a hope that kills you, isn't it? :)
Trafford for the PL and donaruma for all the cup games.Last night was a shining example of why goalkeepers who don't deal with crosses into the box are useless in the premier league. Let Chelsea have him and give Trafford a chance.
Nah. Best on the day for me every timeTrafford for the PL and donaruma for all the cup games.
He is going to be Italian Scott Carson for us.We don’t need him…
£££££!!!!He is going to be Italian Scott Carson for us.

I think thats also a reason why it's probably happening. Just a waiting game...To quiet on th Ederson front to think this is happening in my opinion
Tough to say. He's been a regular since he was 16, I believe. Complacency could be a thing. i don't feel he has improved overall at all the last 4-5 years. Dumb thing to write, possibly but that's how I feel. Doesn't excel at what one would call "sweeper" abilities. Distribution is iffy too. He's young enough to still get better.Do you feel like a higher level of competition more regularly will help? It’s not like he can’t do it, he does it on the big stage.
Just shows French football is shit, prem is obviously so much more competitive.
Yeah I get the arguments against him but good to hear the points for him as well.Tough to say. He's been a regular since he was 16, I believe. His form in CL last season and when Italy won a few years ago were big. So yeah he's definitely had moments of big performances.
We'll see what happens.
I think Trafford could have a great career here, but for now he needs to be pushed by a world class experienced keeper whether thats Eddie or Donna. Give it a couple of years under Pep, more experience in the biggest games and he could easily be our number 1.Normal radio silence around PSG's and our match day, no surprise.
Both keepers have been saying bye and ciao.
I just can't image we want to get back to the top with Trafford in goal, as much as I like him.
I'd expect some news to come in Sunday evening or early next week.
