So @King Jay ...
...seeing as you didn't bother answering the question, I thought I'd highlight why the Palace goal I'm assuming you're talking about wasn't his fault.
I've no problem with mistakes being called out, but I don't like it when people do that wrong. It ends up seeming unfair and can skew other people's perception of the player too.
Last year we were a bit all over the place at times, but generally the players who are picked pretty often are excellent positionally. It's one of the main things they work on week-in week-out in training. If players don't carry out the instructions they get subbed, or dropped.
Just tell me though what was his fault about this - other than being near the player at the end. An easy scapegoat.
Yup. Never his fault. Everyone else‘s. I get the memo. His positioning against palace was everyone’s fault too. The positioning leaving Vinicius completely alone last season the whole time he was on the field was planned too. Leaving a ballon d‘or candidate alone all game was planned. What a great plan it was!
What was wrong against Palace?

Watch that Palace goal here if you like. His positioning is fine, he's in line with the other defenders. Problem is the pass down our left and then a good cross being put over without challenge.

Good defensive line but where is Eze?

You can just see his leg in the left of the screen now. He's a mile offside. It's why he had a headstart. It's difficult to defend against because he's still inactive at this point.

Now Eze is behind the ball so on, but Lewis hasn't managed to close the gap enough.

It's a good ball over. Ederson may have been put off going for it by the other Palace striker. Easy for Eze.

It's a tough goal to stop but it's the organization, or balance, or someone on the other flank at fault here.
