The answer is none of them. All of those players can play further forward in midfield and he is not even the same class as ANY of them in that position People trying to shoehorn him into the starting line up is absolute proof that he isnt good enough in either position.
Yes players in the past have made transitions to different positions so it can be done clearly - Rico Lewis ultimately is not good enough to do so...we have several seasons of evidence to show for this now along wih the fact that he was DROPPED for a player who isnt even a specialist fullback but ALSO isnt good enough to get into our midfield!

If Angelino had been afforded the same opportunities as Rico, I very much doubt he would have been any worse than Rico.Angelino was a better player in my eyes. He could at times be dangerous.

I've said numerous times he's not a defender and will only improve if he's played further forward, where he's more comfortable. Doesn't need to start all the time, doesn't need to replace anyone long-term. He's still a kid. I don't understand this fanbase at all. We spend hours on this forum saying we need to promote more kids through the academy, play the kids more, give the kids more minutes, etc. Well, this is what you've got to get through if you want the kids to have more minutes and play more often. They've got to learn and develop and get through tough periods. Either we abandon the idea of playing academy kids and only buy ready made players or we support the kids on difficult days.
