Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

One constant is playing out from the back.

And that's not going to change. We're just going to sign a keeper who is shit at it.
I think we are overthinking the keeper, we haven't been great playing out against teams who are organised and aggressive in the press for sometime. That might change when Rodri returns but it was really poor against spurs, we couldn't get out and a lot of that is down to the outfield players, taking bad touches and playing poor passes

Definition of insanity is changing the way we play after winning 6 out of the last 8 titles.
Congrats on successfully being thawed out from the glacier you were remanded to for the majority of last season and having just been caught up by the 2 minute "season in review- only the good bits" highlight clip 45 seconds of which was credits.

The definition of insanity is resting on past glories
We do not have the players now that won all those trophies and the ones we have , do not have their skill set or the mentality of those former players .

Past glories? It was a year ago. You're talking like it was a decade ago.

Let's face it, we were shit last season with Ederson in net, so let's not pretend that it's always going to be a winning formula

Yes, it won us numerous trophies, but that also coincided with us having world class players all over the park, which we simply don't have anymore

Time for a change one way or another

Ok, so when is this actually happening? Does it really take us 2 weeks to sell Ederson?!
Ngl, I'm losing faith in this board.

One thing that struck me against Spurs was how much stronger Bentacour and Romano looked - maybe we actually do need a big presence in nets? They, like a few teams last season, bullied us on corners and balls into the box. No matter how he is with the ball at his feet he does have the look of someone you don't mess about with. I do have high hopes for Trafford but yesterday after the error he looked just like the 21 year old kid he is - since Ruben has toned down his dominance in favour of looking sharp maybe we need the Italian back there - "you piss me off, you wake up with the horses head kind of thing!"

**disclaimer - this post is slightly tongue in cheek but perhaps accurate...

You will be glad to hear that one of the major flaws that he apparently has is hes shit at claiming crosses and dominating his area despite being 7ft tall. Might improve though!

Time to tell Eddy good bye. Amazing what staying out of sight can do for one's profile. He's had his head in the clouds for a bit now...
He has one career, one family, and one imperative…use one to take care of the other.

He is currently our player and a replacement ANYWHERE near his quality is going to be very expensive. Instead, pay him well to stay for a few years.

If he wants to go, good luck to him!

I only care what’s best for City, but I realize his decision is, and should be, about what’s best for him and his family.

Maybe there’s a world where they overlap, I don’t know. So far, I haven’t heard him kicking up a fuss to leave, but I don’t sit in on the private meetings between him and the club.

The rules are the same for him as everyone else…if you’re under contract and want to leave, bring us the deal that will free you up! Until then, you’re expected to honor the contract we both signed.

Are you really Hugo Miguel Ferreira Gomes Viana, the DOF at City?

Can’t believe people saw what happened this weekend and want Donnarumma even more when his passing is worse than Trafford.

Spurs players have 7 players in our half you think they’re the only team that’s gonna do that now ?

With Dias playing who can’t pick out a pass we’re in for a rude awakening.

I don’t believe Donnarumma makes that pass that led to the second goal.

As soon as Gvardiol is back it all becomes a lot easier.

He needs centre backs to kick the ball for him.

It’s too drastic of a change from Ederson to Donnarumma.

It’s like going from a healthy balanced diet to full on fast foods and sugary deserts.
