Jack Grealish - Everton on loan

What has that got to do with what I said, we were similar to them, in the shadow of our shitty neighbour, but we managed to get out of that and become top dog.
Yes but everton unfortunately are not going to do that. He's not exactly their robinho is he?

There are an awful lot of revisionist views on here about Jack.
Whilst it was time to go Jack absolutely wasn’t used as he should have been last season. People will want to point to his numbers whilst he never started two games on the bounce. Many players underperformed and got rewarded with consistent minutes and consistent starts. Jack also played well the times he was called upon. Pep didn’t use him properly and bringing a kid on in a cup final to make his debut was a disgrace with Jack on the bench. As I say he wasn’t the answer, it was time to go with everything that went on but he wasn’t used nowhere near enough and I am confident in saying we’d have performed better as a team had he played more. When he started we tended to win. There’s more to football than numbers. A lot more

You mean if given chance he would have preferred north west over Barcelona or Madrid or Munich or Paris?
Jack is desperate to get back in the England squad and to play in the World Cup Finals. He is more likely to get back in the squad if he is playing for Everton every week. I think most England fans want him back in the team as well.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL performance yesterday

Didnt lose the ball once and won it back more than anyone on the pitch. The exact kind of control we need in the side. not to mention 2 unbelievable assists..

It's a disgrace we let a top class player like this go on loan and not utilised him properly, yet we have the likes of Doku and Marmoush stinking up the wing

We were a far better side with Jack and could control games better.

It's no surprise he felt frustrated and needed a change when he knows full well he's better then those picked ahead of him.

Before the statto's start wheeling out numbers, David Silva didn't actually have the most impressive stats on paper in terms of G/A's but he made us a far better team. We were better with Jack as a starter.

Good effort but you let yourself down with the “unbelievable assists” line. Made it too obvious

What? The first one was brilliant.

Second one was brilliant in a subtle way. He got the ball in space and literally 3 defenders didn't know whether to come or go. Watch the poor movement of the 3 defenders closest to him because they couldn't tell what he was gonna do and then full back was on a yellow. Then a perfectly weighted lay off. His presence alone and the fact he NEVER loses the ball basically took his 3 nearest defenders out of the game. To the untrained eye it didn't look like much but only quality players find that much time and space and make defenders apprehensive.

He played well yesterday, a good assist and looked lively.
You knew he was going to show up, he had games like that for us...just not enough though!

Hoping he gets to play centrally soon so we can see what he's still capable of there - I was surprised that Moyes started him off exactly as he was at City - out on the left again.

Within the rules I know but, it’s wrong that a player is on load at a club in the same competition as his parent club. Also, this is a way around PSR Everton couldn’t buy him, it’s the same as Arsenal a few seasons ago with Raya they hit the PSR limits so had him load
