New Turnstiles v Tottenham Hotspur Tomorrow

The scale of the technical mess on Saturday was clearly not anticipated. Gate staff weren't briefed or empowered to over-ride the gate (I asked them). The portacabin of support staff was under resourced.

The club's response then and since just underlines the apathy they have towards us.

Have they put anything out publicly other than a single tweet, or have I missed it?

Silence mate. Same silence we got after Istanbul.

Posted an update on X (formerly Twitter). Spoken to club this morning and there are going to be a number of de-briefs into the access issues on Saturday, first one being today. City Matters reps have had direct feedback and seen and taken in wider feedback from here and on social media, all of the myriad issues/themes experienced on Saturday have been passed onto the club as part of unpicking all of the issues.
Thanks for the feedback

They need to get sorted before the derby or there be hell outside, I’ll try getting in early just in case.

No problem will post relevant updates when able to (NDA applicable)
I have been posting on Twitter but mindful not everyone sees posts on there, however starting to get new followers
Thanks for the updates.

The one thing I've never understood is why NDA's are thrown about when the Club are dealing with fan representatives. In my line of work everything is NDA'd as we service the retail display trade, so brands & retailers are anal about any new designs they have. What on earth can the Club be discussing with CM that is so sensitive it needs to be NDA'd.

The cloak and dagger stuff baffles me, it's a football club FFS.

Was the issue Saturday mainly about the NFC issue?

We got there about 12:00 and the Q for the office outside South was fucking enormous

How much longer are fans going to put up with this shit? What other industry or business go out of their way to make it hard to receive something you have purchased?

I strongly suggest a game - maybe a home league cup game with an attempt to have a 100% boycott of the game with the threat to it going into a PL game to have entry into the game made simple.
What the fuck was wrong with a season card or paper ticket?
For whose benefit are all these changes for? And why? Certainly not the paying customers.
It’s time the customers started fighting back. I appreciate it’s easy for me to suggest this 5,000 miles away, but the club need challenging on this. They listened after the protests last season and they need to listen again.
I’m happy that @Luddite_Blue likes this

Join the queue to get into the Etihad after the game has started.

If you can’t be bothered waiting and you go home without using your ticket, that is 1 strike against you.

City is watching you.

Not too sure that it wasn't anticipated. As mentioned previously, I went to the training session in the Joie Stadium which has the same new card readers. They kept crashing and it took ages to get in. Not sure if anyone else experienced it too. For the Spurs game we got in no bother. We sit in the Colin Bell Stand. Most of the big queues we passed were on the other side (East) side.

Imagine if the club were to get any negative PR eh?

The bill going through Parliament seeks to limit NDA use. Not far enough in my book, it's pointless having fan representation at senior levels if members are puppets for the execs.

Music and theatre industries, rarely give paper tickets now almost all are mobile plus some venues switch off transfer or resale options, and to be honest neither of my children or partners in their 20s can see what the issue is with it.
Do they go and watch the same band 19 times in a year, and I bet they know exactly what time and date the concert is going to be a year in advance

It recieved Royal Assent 5 weeks ago, so the Football Governance Act 2025 now.

The fan engagement threshold to meet the licence seems to include the wider fanbase, however it is a discretionary condition.

The fan consultation condition is a madatory condition, but this can include a small group of fans and could just be buisness as usual for City Matters.
