Why do Manchester Originals always pick shit players in the draft for the hundred. The worst squad by a mile. Hate the hundred but i can see why the Originals are piss poor just about every season

Hundred is done this weekend and the QF is the following weekend iirc.

I note lots saying they hate the Hundred. I guess one of the positives is the fact some younger players get blooded in the one day cup.

I prefer the Hundred over the T20 myself. If you’re going to have a whack-a-ball competition then the shortest version wins for me. And they’ve improved the screen graphics, although still a bit confusing.

The format doesn’t really change much for me. It’s the franchise element that I don’t like.

just sat through another inept batting display from MOW. Has anyone told them they are allowed to move their feet when batting and after the display the other day when they managed 4 run-outs to get in down to 2 is still not acceptable. Bowled out without completing the 100 balls

The better Lancs one day specialists are all elsewhere. The originals are a poor franchise who are shambolic at times and largely uncompetitive. They have been purchased by one of the Indian Cricket franchises so I’d assume there will be wholesale changes over the winter. Simon Katich in particular has an appalling record and probably needs to be moved on. The performances of Lancs and the Original’s gives a major insight into the toxic atmosphere in and around OT - where corporate hospitality and hotels are the priority

Update: Lost with 35 balls to spare. Sophie Ecclestone knocked all round the ground. Do they ever put her on the scales at the start of a season to see her 'gains' since the previous weigh-in. A bet Kalvin Phillips looks on with envy

The last time I saw them was the first Liverpool game, and compared to that I thought there were some signs of improvement in the fielding and some of the bowling, certainly early on. Singh, Bailey and to a lesser extent Balderson all bowled with some control. Blatherwick and Shetty though, dear me.
Overall, the number of wides and no balls was an additional frustration.

I don't know what the incident was, like I said I've given up bothering, I checked the scores towards the end, with 8 overs left they needed 10 an over, I never doubted they'd get it, so checked the result at the end, and was very unsurprised.
