For additional context, I was on the cusp of leaving the forum, having become quite pissy and terse, with the negatives being at the fore. He was nothing but encouraging and positive to me, reminding me why we are all here. This was after a dickish comment by me as well, so really he needn't have bothered. But he did. There is a caring side there. For a bit of perspective.

He's enthusiastic & sensitive to City's ups & downs, that's all. He's just your average football fan on a public forum giving his opinions & sharing his thoughts & emotions. It's what an Internet football forum's for mate.

There’s room for everyone, as long as no-one gets too bent out of shape about negative comments (against the team or a player or even themselves), but there’s also a time, here and there, when it’s good to step away for one’s own mental health, especially if one struggles to adapt to the cross-section of life on display.

Mate, it's more about Guéhi being a longer term prospect & ticking the HG box too.

We need to reduce squad numbers, & talk is we could lose Akanji & Aké before the window shuts which leaves us with Stones, Gvardiol, Dias & Khusanov.

Over a potential 60+ games, every 3-4 days season, would you really wanna rely on Stones staying fit & Reuben's recent sketchy performances? I wouldn't/don't...

It was a VERY bad time to make what is a suicide pass, esp when Cherki was showing himself for the ball, in the clear, about 15 yards deeper. Conversely, we have a Viking upfront, so knock it into the channel and let him fight for his dinner!

Sadly, he made a very big mistake that cost us the game in the end, as it completely changed both teams’ half time talks and the complete game plan of both teams in the second half.

At half time, I don’t know a single person who thought KDB ANYONE was going to come out of the City dressing room and take the game by the scruff of the neck to get us back into it. That game was a special (David Silva) game for the ages, with KDB and FFS destroying Spurs in the second half. Who replaces them?

I thought so too.. but some people are panicing that if we sell them Akanji we're facilitating his move to the dippers. So we should sign him up instead!

Or some twisted logic like that but not taking into account.. we have Gvardiol, Dias, Khusanov, Reis, Bah.. and we have Akanji, Ake and Stones!

Agreed mate. I take regular breaks from here & it does me the world of good.

It also brings into perspective how pointless it is having your blood pressure raised by some faceless fan on the Internet, who you're never likely to meet in real life...

UNLESS that fan's the dude who was offering people out by PM's/DM's a few weeks ago! Lol :-)

* Can cover both sides

…is a very nice group.

5 on the field, 5 on the bench every game gives us very good defensive cover for multiple different combinations and formations.

Eddie/Donna/Trafford should all be able to perform behind almost any combo on that list.

As things stand, that's the best we can hope for & it looks more than solid enough for me.

UNLESS the rumours are true that Nunes has also been told he's surplus to requirements & can leave, & we're still actively looking for a specialist RB to replace him?

If that's the case, then even better still!!
