Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

only worry if he turns into something like Palmer at Chelsea.
I think he would be better there than here as their system is much better for a winger. in our team he will often face deep defences, who can double up on him as we dont provide overlapping fullbacks.
there he would play lot more in transition, using his pace vs big areas front of him and gaps in opposite defence. thats very different compared to waiting to slowly build and attack from back and by the time Akanji-Dias passing to each other on top of the midfield cirle you already have little space as a winger.

I bet he is worried of not making the WC squad if happens to be rotated a lot by Pep which is possible given Bobb is back, Cherki might feature on the right side too, even Foden some games.

Ancelotti didnt select him now for the upcoming September games, but could be due to his injury, not sure what injury he has tho. having said that the winger position quite packed for Brazil, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Richarlison, Martinelli, Estevao, Luiz Enrique etc all can feature on the wing. maybe even the rag Cunha if needed.
so competition is big and you need to be a regular at your club and have a good-great season likely to make the WC2026.

Easily our best player I thought and the only City player who got the better of his opposite number.

@Google AI search: Did Oscar Bobb create any chances against Spurs

Did Oscar bobb create any chances against Spurs In the Premier League match between Manchester City and Tottenham on August 23, 2025, Oscar Bobb, playing for Manchester City, created two chances. This was the highest number of chances created by any player on the pitch during the match. He also achieved the highest passing accuracy with 93% and won the most duels in the game.
I’ve had more dangerous diarrhoea mate.

He was as shite as the rest of them mate. A couple of bits of magic doesn’t mean he played well.

Haaland created our most dangerous moment with a cracking bit of play but did fuck all else of note. Doesn’t mean he played well or was dangerous either.

Did u remember the first game of the last season against Chelsea? Savinho was the best player on the pitch. It was Chelsea by the way not spurs . Bobb lacks pace . In the PL I don’t know about one efficient winger that doesn’t somehow rely on his pace.
You really hate Bobb don't you. What's up, is he not razzmatazz enough for you?

I'd really like to see Savinho on the left. He played the vast majority of his football on the right last season, but all of his best contributions for City and Girona came from the left.
Someone commented a few days ago that when he first arrived at City, Savinho said he prefers to play on the right...

They all say that because they want to cut inside and score 25 yarders. He played all his best stuff for Girona (and arguably for City although we didn't see lots of it) from the left hand side. His shooting technique is better from that angle aswell.

If they're offering 80 million euros I'd sell.
We need a good defensive pacey right back.
We already have options on the right wing. However if we can get Rodrigo for a knock down price due to his contract running down, then yeah.

Hes contracted to 2028, we won't be getting him for a knock down price

Needs to pick up that big lip off the floor now and get on with his job.

He must have known City were never going to get a replacement through the door and Spurs were not going to pay £70m+ for him.
