Daz Clarke page under threat from City now, we should not be silent on this surely - this very forum has had fans get tickets for fellow supporters at face value or less for many years - it’s fans using this site and others on Facebook that helps fill the ground on a wet Wednesday night against Sunderland or whoever…

That’s bums on seats and extra revenue for the club once people are inside buying food drink merchandise- that’s more noise helping the team - creating a passionate home atmosphere.

It’s an attempt to rid the club of season ticket holders over time. A great replacement which we must fight. It’s an attempt to change the culture within the stadium and a loosening of the generational links.

Without a continuation of the core support the club loses its’ soul.

And why ? Because some idiot here wants to boost their CV for 2/3 wants to impress khaldoon and get a promotion before moving off somewhere else?

Surely we and I mean this board should not be passive or silent here .

The context here is that these sites ensure a Blue / his family gets a ticket. They don’t go to away fans.

Club are doing this when :

1 no guarantees of filling the seats in an increased capacity

2 no guarantees the seats sold by 9 reseller partners are going to Blues each time - yet obsessed with Blues selling to blues at face value and not trusting the vast majority of fans who use these sites for good reason.

Galatasaray at home - 15000 of their fans got into old Trafford. What can we expect when they come to ours?

This new ticket compliance officer was brought in last year to specifically get on with the enforcement of these new rules. Nothing to do with boosting their CV. These flawed and incendiary actions are coming from on high.
Soriano is the problem - heartless bloke and absolute twat of a human being who only sees pound signs. Unfortunately he is trusted by the higher ups.

It’s so transparent that they’re doing this to avoid missing out on revenue.

If security or fan safety is genuinely their concern, then why not allow fans to ‘sell’ their season cards to friends at face value on their website? It’s an easy solution, but clearly doesn't tick the matchday revenue box.

Or even gift the seat but via the club so they can police who it goes to.

I have always thought it might be a good idea to have a scheme for local city fans who perhaps can’t afford football but can get to the ground at very short notice. There have been games where I have been unable to go, tried to sell it via the exchange and it hasn’t sold. I’d be quite happy donating it via the club to a scheme like this where perhaps someone pays £10 to cover the costs or whatever. Unfortunately the club doesn’t want that. They would rather sell my ticket to someone for £70 !

More than a tickets page.

The campaign to get the lad with disabilities to Wembley was only 3 or 4 months ago.

Several years ago, we were getting ridiculed
for poor ticket sales for a Wembley game vs Arsenal. Daz Clarke drummed up support and several thousand more tickets were sold within days.

A side affect of the page is driving thousands more sales of match day memberships. The page doesn’t cost City much in reality. The page also drives sales of corporate hospitality as Blues who normally couldn’t afford this save up for special family occasions.

When I flagged up that the ticket changes were targeting the Face Value Groups / Pages a few months back. Some posters saw it as an opportunity to stick the knife in to the groups. That said, we all probably post some daft stuff from time to time.

I had a look on the page and the email from the club states "moving forwards, tickets need to be listed on the exchange"

This is what they are stopping, they want us to put our ticket on the exchange, they pay 1/19th of your season ticket price and they list it for hundreds elsewhere. I said after the ticket freeze that it was a result but I also warned City will have something up their sleeve to make up for it and here we are. Scum

Another side issue. As thousands will testify, the ticket office are a shit show. They don't have the numbers to service the fans and we wait on hold for hours and sometimes without success. Somebody couldn't use my ticket at the weekend due to the incompetence of the staff and systems in place and after being on hold for 90 minutes on Saturday we just gave up. Yet they have the staff to sit and scroll through facebook to punish us?

Not only the face value facebook pages - they are coming for bluemoon posters who sell tickets on the ticket page too. At least 2 have already been contacted.

A few weeks ago I attempted to subscribe to City+. Got an email back on the 9th August confirming payment. When I first tried to access it to watch the Chelsea/ City EDF I could not get in and message told me my membership had expired. I sent an email off and got a response thanking me for my enquiry with a ref no dated the 18th. As no response sent a reminder on the 21st. Nothing back. So basically they can go fuck themselves

They haven't come back to me requesting a refund for my ticket not being used due to their incompetence. They can't reply because they are busy checking bluemoon or facebook for anyone who dares sell a ticket for face value.

Protests are needed on a big scale.

We are not going to change it but we should be considered and the club think things through for me the key points should have been
1 you have to list your ticket 2 weeks or at a pinch one week before the fuxture
2 if you are compliant with 1. Then the club reimburse 1/19th irrespective as to whether they sell it. In fact they are buying your ticket and thereby as owners of it can now do the mark uos
3 the incurred risks of the club not selling are covered by the higher mark on those sold currently appears they could afford to sell about 3 out of 5 to realise profit up we should welcome this as it adds to club revenues
4 the key legal obligation is on the club to have tight criteria in place on who buys your ticket
5 remember the club is now the owner of the ticket and you have no liability under the pass it to a mate etc if something goes wrong in the ground the club can hold you liable and take your ticket off you and or ban you
6 could consider passing it to spouse or sibling only I suppose
7 I like the idea of the club placing some tickets into a pool for registered city fans to access the junior blues used to do this when the capacity of Maine Road was reduced
You registered you wish for a ticket and was then considered me and my son very rarely didn’t get two tickets in the last 5 seasons at Maine Road
